Never heard of him, but the summary sounds pretty neat:
He wrote Neuromancer and (IIRC) Mona Lisa Overdrive. I like his stuff, though it's unusual. In some ways the Matrix can be considered something of a descendant of his work.

Speaking of the Matrix, have you heard the brothers who made it are planning a sort of trilogy? They're planning on placing the original Matrix with Reloaded together I believe, and the 2nd Matrix is being released at the same time.
Welcome to the Divine Empire of Ashcroft:

-What I say here is forever being recorded. Wonderful, isn't it?
-Jack Chick develops the most disturbing Chick tract to date. It may be viewed here: MIGHTY MORPHIN' SATAN RANGERS! GO!

Jules Verne
The 19th century Frenchman who made science fiction into a successful commercial genre.

Right on I love Verne!

Start at the Beginning of the Lensman saga and work your way through them (there are one or two  ). Just remember not to laugh at any of the science.

Do you mean John Brunner? If so, here's the same link I gave on page two of this thread. http://www.skypoint.com/members/gimonca/brunner.html

Stanislav Lem
This pessimistic Pole has spent a whole career telling ironic stories of futility and frustration. Yet he is also a master of wordplay so witty that it sparkles even when translated into English.

Does anyone know of his stuff at all?

Yeah, you'll find a great deal of his collected works around, try Smiths or Menzies, or to just sample his work then ask at your library. I'd give you volume names but the ones I read were called literally Volume 1 and Volume 2. I'm not a big fan of his work, but it's certainly readable.

Never read... :?

The quiz is too pro-US, it should be more international, there were a lot of questions that I had to toss a coin to answer.
