I've decided to add to my list:

-Large girls. I'm fine with 5'6 and 130 pounds. However, 5'10 and 150 pounds makes me feel I'm with a giant.

-Manipulative girls. They're all around me. They try to make me do dumb things, and then they say they won't like me if I don't do it. Do they really think I'm that gullible?

-High-maintenence girls. The snobbish, spoiled kind.

-Excessively large butts. I'm fine with a slightly large one, but when you can use your ass as a chair, I don't find it attractive.

-Unnaturaly pale skin. Some girls look good pale (mainly blondes and brunettes), but the black-haired pale girls look a little like ghosts.

-Stupid women. I just want morons out of my life. Luckily, the girls I'm around seem pretty smart.

-Those women that would rather date a dumb jock. They're probably also insulting towards my type, and probably stupid too.

Well...*scratches head*..I guess not. But hair colour is something very basic about a person's description; it's one of the first things others notice about you, which is why it's on drivers' licenses and such. Arm hair no one really notices; at least, I never knew anyone who noticed enough to mention it. I don't know; I just can't imagine finding someone fabulous, noticing their arm hair colour, and then getting totally turned off by that. *shrug* But that's me.

It's also the fact that reading through this thread makes me feel like most of you are turned off by anyone who isn't perfectly built, and since I'm not, it just makes me feel kind of crappy. Not only do I have to worry about my hair colour, boob size & shape, height, weight, leg shape, how I smell, when I shaved last, and how round my ass is, but now I also have to worry about what colour my arm hair is?! Seems near impossible to please you all, which I know I could never do anyway, but...it's still a bit depressing for me. :?

LOL sorry just the last part of your post made me chuckle.
But I do understand your point becuase there's one thing I'm sure all of us know there is no such thing as a perfect mate I can speak of anyone eles but myself when I say that what I have listed as my turn offs and what I posted in the turn on post is a fairly rought gude about what turns me on and what turns me off save for these few things that are an must for a turn on for me.
1: A lady with some brains in her head and knows how to use them I mean what hell is the point in being with someone if you can sit down and talk about things in a reasonble manor?
2: a Lady who is not arogent or manipltive that just realy makes me mad becuase if you going to be with some one you should be able to trust them enhough that one would not have to resort to such things in order to get what they want from another person, on that note one should be ready to give back as much if not more then they take from there lover.

What realy turns me off besides what I have posted already is some with no sence of self respict, if one can respict them selves how are they going to respict anyone else right?

Someone with sence of adventer let's face it dull people suck

Well that that I guess.

Threads like this are bad because people feel compelled to list every conceivable detail that might deviate from the ideal mate. Small problem: there is no such thing as an ideal mate.

An ideal partner is one with whom you grow together over time; you don't meet one on the street.

Arm hair?!?!!!

*furrows brow* You guys (mostly) seem extrodinarily caught up in appearances--it actually matters to you what colour a woman's ARM HAIR is?! I'm I the only one who finds that a bit...superficial?
Well, all the other things you listed are true too, but they aren't the sort of things you can tell just by looking at someone for a moment, eh? They're all potential stumbling blocks, but in my mind there's a connotative differance between something that's a -physical "turn off"- vs a -personality "assholisms or complete lack of personality."- The reason I specified "dark arm hair" is that when a girl has light colored body hair it isn't as noticable and can even be kinda cute. (note: I don't say 'girl' by way of being some sort of put down, I just think "woman" sounds so anal retentive... Anyone who feels offended by it should feel free to get even by calling members of my gender "boys," except that I won't mind.)

Seriously though, if I met a girl I really liked in a long sleave shirt and she wore a T-shirt displaying significant arm hair on our third date, I wouldn't toss her on the street. If it seemed like things would last a while I'd ask if she'd be willing to shave or colour it, but I'd make it clear that I'm willing to reciprocate.

*chuckles*
That reminds me of the offer one lass made to me (I wouldnt be able to say anything about your use of girl as I use lass all the time....) back when I had a goatee....if I shaved it off she was willing to reciprocate by shaving an area of my choice.

It might be that the arm hair thing is just something coincidental I notice about people I'm not attracted to: "Ahah! Arm hair! that explains everything!" :)

As to pleasing all of us... Don't be too worried about that. For one thing, you only need to please -one- guy, and he won't be perfect either.(unless you're into polygamy and/or non-hetero, in which case substitute words as needed.) As far as being centered on cosmetic stuff goes, that's just a guy-by-guy thing depending on what gets them up; it's easy to change. What's really important, and what can't be faked, are the things like ambition, fundamental niceness, artistic qualities, thinking, affection, etc. Which is why I didn't list them, if that makes any sense...

It might be worth noting that I don't prefer any particular hair colours..... with the exception of those who colour their hair pink, blue, purple, green or another unnatural hair colour. That's just weird.

On the arm hiar thing Zaia, it works like this:

If you're naturally fair, body hair like arms, legs, tummy fluff etc can be so pale that not only is is invisible from a resonable distance, but it is also soft enough to actually feel good up close. And the nasties that come with shaved arms (rash, stubble, etc) are just not worth it.

However, if you're dark, arm hair is dark, and therefore more visible and inlcined to make you look like a chimp.

2) excessive use of sports clothes outside of a sporting situation
3) spiky hair, especially if it's differentially dyed

What's wrong with the 2nd and 5th ones?? I find both of those characteristics to be rather cute.
