Gotta love Lovecraft. Anyone else read that one short story where that woman kills a nest of snakes, gets cursed, accidentally kills her husband and her dog gets killed by snakes, goes insane and gives birth to all these snake-people? Crazy shit. :)

Hmm, that makes it tough, then.

It wasn't the one where the thing in the well slowly kills off everything around it, and it wasn't the one where they find the guy who turned to stone and was still alive, and they could see the horrible image still burned into his retinas, I know that at least.

The Call of Cthulhu is the main work about him, but there is a lot of crossover amongst the mythos.

IIRC, according to Lovecraft's notes, it was something like "Kluhl-loo", though the RPG lists it as "Kah-thoo-loo". The RPG messed up alot of things, besides that.

Ah. In japanese pop culture, NOTHING is sacred. How fortunate!

What the hell are you talking about?

It's a 1930's short story; there are none.

Um, technically, Cthulhu isn't a god, just an extra-terrestrial being. He really isn't on the same level as Yog Sothoth or Shub Niggurath, IIRC.

Oh, and only read the stuff that's written by Lovecraft himself, everyone else fucked everything up...

Ned Flanders.

Think about it: he's portrayed as the Devil and God. How closer to the truth is that?

I kinda see God like this:

Human: God! Gooooooooooood! Hellooooooo!
GOD: (smites human): Shut up! Ungrateful caterwauling little gnat!

Yeah, if there's a God, you gotta know he's pissed.
