How many cheerleaders can you fit into an elevator? At the University of Texas, that number would be 25.
We know that because 26 teens attending cheerleading camp at the university broke the Jester Residence Hall elevator by attempting to ride the lift all at once.
The stunt to see how many 14- to 17-year-old cheerleaders would fit started with the elevator taking the 26 girls down several floors. When the door wouldn't open, several of the girls panicked, before wiggling out their cell phones to call for help.
It took a repairman almost half an hour to pry the doors open, and police and firefighters also responded. One girl was taken to the hospital, while two others received medical treatment on the scene.
We just hope these ladies learn their lesson, before they're involved in a real cheerleader scandal like the ones below.

Odd that they could get to their phones but not wriggle enough for the doors to open.

It appears they they broke the elevator off the track and safety settings on the doors usually lock them shut. The elevator fell several floors the article says.Pulp Hero wrote:Odd that they could get to their phones but not wriggle enough for the doors to open.

They could've just read the shiny metal plaque with the elevator's capacity printed on it. Every single elevator I've ever been in has a plaque with the maximum weight and number of people that it can safely carry. Then again they're cheerleaders, in Texas, so probably not too much in their skulls other than air.

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

To be fair, I doubt many 14- to 17-year-olds in general pay attention to such things.aerius wrote:They could've just read the shiny metal plaque with the elevator's capacity printed on it. Which highlights a problem, not an excuse.FSTargetDrone wrote:To be fair, I doubt many 14- to 17-year-olds in general pay attention to such things.aerius wrote:They could've just read the shiny metal plaque with the elevator's capacity printed on it.
