Remember Those Free SW Miniatures?

Post by FSTargetDrone »

The ones last discussed in March, that is. So, did anyone else ever get their figures? I was reminded of it when someone recently posted in OT about Warhammer figs.

I guess if I haven't gotten the SW stuff by now, I'm not going to. :)

No and I was the one who posted that.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Don't worry, you aren't missing much.

I used to collect and play those.. the figures have low detail sculpts, and there are very often painting errors, even on the Rares and Very Rares.

Most of the later sets have a lot of characters that aren't recognizable as Star Wars anyway (excepting the Rebel Storm,Clone Strike and RotS sets, where you're at least guaranteed Rebel Troopers, Stormtroopers, battle droids and Clone Troopers of some sort as Commons).

Negatory on receiving the free figures. Didn't really expect to get em either.

I was very explicitly promised miniatures.

I have no miniatures. But surely, they're in the mail, right? Just like all those checks?

How long did it take?

I don't remember much of the discussion of the other thread and I am much too lazy to look at it now, but I wonder how many people who filled out the survery among our little band here actually got the minis?

No real biggie to me, in any case. I was just curious if anyone had gotten the stuff.

Oh well.

Never got mine. Only time I seem to get free shit online is when it involves some sort of religious related deal.

It took a week or two--pretty quick, actually. You can read through the old thread and I noted when I received mine. I sent mine in the day the thread went up, but certainly not in the first five minutes or so.
