The Clone Wars - Real spoilers
I am not a huge EU fan so maybe this has been mentioned before. The main point of the movie was gaining access to the Hyperspace lanes.
Something about hyperspace means there are definite choke points that can be controlled or mined to the degree that nothing can get through. Obviously this is easily enough done that the Hutts can keep the Republic or the Dooku from using them since neither side really considered just forcing their way through.
So any ideas on what this may mean? Maybe Hyperspace is so fast becuase of perfectly programmed routes that follow a twisting winding hyperspace.
Would this make hyperspace then much slower in brand new uncharted regions? Impossible? Or just more risky?
Also the Nemedians have really saved money on their droid army and gone for the least expensive droid brain that will work.
Finally I thought magna droids were more dangerous than this. Considering ROTS and possibly the EU should any brand new padawan have lasted long against three of them and won?

Also like to add that for all his money Dooku appears to be on a major shoestring budget. I believe that Anakin ended up taking Dooku's assassins ship when they escaped and it was a total POS.
Obiwan is the master of psycological warfare. You must contend with his verbal jabs as well as his saber and his verbal jabs work very well.

Actually, I got the impression that it was the protocol droid's ship. Ventress seemed to have no interest in going near it.Timotheus wrote:Also like to add that for all his money Dooku appears to be on a major shoestring budget. I kind of figured they would be traveling together and she sent the droid to do the prep work while she killed Anakin and Obiwan.NecronLord wrote:Actually, I got the impression that it was the protocol droid's ship. I wasn't a fan of the movie, the B droids were annoying, jabbas uncle sounded like king kai and yoda looked like a crack baby.

Not to mention she also had that hutlett strapped to her back the entire time. I might be wrong but didn't Grevous personaly have to train the Magna Droids in anti-lightsaber fighting? If so, then they might have recieved minimal training before being sent on this mission.Timotheus wrote:Finally I thought magna droids were more dangerous than this. I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

I was thinking that maybe the Magna Droids were brand new. But if that was the case then the first Jedi facing them like our little Padawan should have started the fight trying to cleave their staff in half and being more than a little shaken when its easily blocked.
She seemed to know as soon as she saw them what they were and how dangerous they were. So it cannot really be that the droids were just introduced.
Though you may be right and each one needs to be personally trained to be effective. If that is the case then how can they cost so much if so effective without training. Clonetroopers can be flashed implanted but droids have to be trained?

They came programmed but Grievous had their memories wiped so he could train them himself.Timotheus wrote: Though you may be right and each one needs to be personally trained to be effective. As evidenced in AotC, the clonetroopers did have to be trained. But if I remember right they did originally had combat programming but Grevous had their memories wiped and trained them in the 7 lightsaber forms.Timotheus wrote:I was thinking that maybe the Magna Droids were brand new.
