Haven't you realised that, if he is alive, he must contribute to the Force?
He powers clearly show he is connected to the Force, and, as seen in the novel with Hethrir and Waru, beings that can directly tap the Force are more easily influenced by Jedi than you or me!
This means Vader would be able to use his abilities to easily destroy Q
That's could actually be a good tactic to use against idiots who go "Q would just make the entire SW galaxy disappear!"

1. God Like Ominpotent Beings
2. An advance race thats faking it VIA either simple strong Mental Powers or minor ones combined with Portable Holo-Tech
Remeber the TNG eposided with Riker and the little Alien kid? Basicly Riker looses his short term memory and the kid finds him and takes him into his little Holo-room and in a baddly acted tear-jerking way trys to let Riker be the Hero and him the trusty sidekick but he's a good sidekick and a bad writer and Riker figures out its all fake

UNLESS Q is a physical manifestation of the force in the ST universe as SOME fanfic writers may be hinting at in their stories *cough cough* Then Q is an agent of the force and thus cannot be influenced by force users.

The Jedi have great problems with the YV because they have almost no link to the force therefore its not certain Q (or anyone in the ST verse) would be part of the force.

Its been heavily hinted in ST that the Q are EXTREMELY technologically advanced and that most of their power comes from this technology as can be seen in the Voy ep. when the Q civil war they give Voy crewmen Q weapons to fight.

Oh, they can indeed be killed. The Q are not indestructable by any means. The episode "True Q" outlines this point-blank with the deaths of proto-Q Amanda Rogers at the hands of the Q community. That same episode, Q's mission was in part to eliminate Amanda if he could not repatriate her back to the Continuum.

Uh, dude, Q is Trek, not Wars, which are two different universes, so that would mean that they are not interconnected, as you would apparently like to believe.

Given Q's behavior I would find that to be quite a bit of a stretch. Especially after some of the events we've seen on Voyager...
He plays too many games to be even considered in such a light =/. Unless ofcourse you are claiming he is somehow reformed.
If the is no force in the ST Universe, would a Jedi or Sith have powers there?

Humans and similar organisms create the Force. ST humans are the same as SW humans (don't make me explain the evolutionary odds against identical-looking species evolving separately). Therefore, the Force exists in the ST universe. They just don't use the same name for it. In ST, it would be known as "neural energy patterns" or "residual psionic energy" etc.
