I prefer to stay out of any potential mess across the border, but I would do something if it happened.

That aside, will anyone RP these.. rogue states?

Will he be able to give all of them body armor? :P

At 50 thousand bucks apiece, equipping an extra 480 thousand troops will cost him 24 billion. They're quite literally gonna be helmet+rifle kind of infantry for a long time :D
Indeed, but they will serve their purpose.

Oh yes. There's probably much shouting and running happening in the Defence Ministry as we speak.

I am willing to do so for at least one or two of them.

And now to write my entrance to the party. :D

I don't think we necessarily need to worry about the Rogue States unless they become problematic or we need them for plots. They can just sit and stew by themselves until we need them; no sense making someone obligated to do something with them 'til then.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:

I loved that movie.

And, yes, Shroom has a lot of catching up to do - and scheming, despite his foolish facade. He knows what you're up to, Shady! :P

Can I also fund and arm our Saudi Arabia equivalent, the ones you also support. Since the US gives Saudi Arabia arms, and the UK does too as well. We can work together with 'em.

For petrol... oil... black gold. GASOLINE!

And maybe we can establish a joint FUN/MESS presence in Chindia Bangalore!

In Arabia? Well, I am considering arming the Syrians, but the Egyptians won't like it.

But I am tempted to screw the Egyptians.

Did you know that when me, Stas, and PeZook were discussing stuff in SDN World 1, that it was them who advocated putting thousands of VX-armed Scuds in Zoria and the Bear Republic, and that it was them who went on with Cobalt weapons? And that I never deployed vengeance weapons, even when the world was going to an end? :P

Gee, maybe that's why Shroomania was relatively unscathed by war. :D

I just took a look at the map, and...damn, Langley's almost as big as the entire Byzantine Empire. It needs to be much smaller, probably around the same size as Cascadia or the Turkish part of Byzantium.

Seriously. I play up the loopiness because it's fun, but deep down, I politick and shit to ensure peace and stability and harmony - so that even IF everyone ends up killing each other, I'll end up with my ass intact and alive. The FUN is my attempt at making sure I don't die, and if the FUN ensures the survival of other member nations, then that's great. Keep your heads down!

The thing is, though. In the later stages of SDN 1, when Stas joined, the FUN became too big for its own good. Stas was rather militant - he had Cobalt bombs, mang!

The FUN was so big that it had no choice but to become a third superpower, rather than some dudes keeping their heads down while counting their money!

So, yeah. If the FUN hadn't countered Shep's first strike on the MESS (before the MESS even knew what hit them!), Shep and the MESS would've murdered one another and the FUN guys would've emerged intact.

Japanistan is right next door, yeah. But that just means I'll have to be shrewder and more pacifistic and capitalistic - so that I can count money while Skimmer's Japanistanis beat Sumatrans with stick.

As for the map, yeah, Langley needs to be smaller. Also, I think Zoria and Serenity would look sexy right beside the Untamed Continent - to the East. I'll show my suggestions!

If we didn't sterilize the UAR (and the IRT), they'd have become the new superpowers, since their rampant paranoid militarism would've allowed them to emerge in much better shape than us.

We would've been intact, we could've taken on postapocalyptic Nukistanis and Saddamistanis - we would've finished the job!

I just didn't want to do the first-killings. Retaliation, sure. But, come on. I'm no killer... :(

Coyote wrote:Shroom, at some point Canissia will ask about basing rights along one of your southern coasts...
Dude, we're pretty close neighbors - a base in Shroomania really won't expand your naval coverage. I can allow your warships to enter Shroomanian harbors, so your dudes can totally have shore leaves where they can have some whores and all.

Well... you could get a very modest base in one of my islands - it would also have a Mushroom Marines or SAF or Navy base on it. To keep an eye on the Canissians, and to keep them company - inter-military relations boosting, volleyball and stuff!

Training exercises! I always wanted to join in on your CROSSHAIRS!

You know, I think Zoria and Serenity would look really nice neighboring the Untamed Continent.

Image

Zor wanted land grabs in SDN 1, with his ambitions for Syndromia. He can get them in SDN 2!

Serenity can act all like Mangka and have corrupt pharmaceuticals go into Untamed Continental jungles and harvest Ebola and stuff.

They would also look less like sore thumbs in the Pacific. Zoria would look like an island that split off the mainland due to continental drifting and plate tectonics - like Madagascar from Africa!

The island of Crete has a nominal Naval dock that can be expanded, and there's the naval base at Athens, and shipyard facilities and what not nearby.

Actually, Shroom is right-- we're so close that a Shroomanian base doesn't help much. I may ask for a surveillance post instead, simply to watch the skies for incoming Shep bombers. :D
