Motherfucking YES! MOTHERFUCKING YES! *crazed grin* Someone has actually put the Yankee Sidecar into use. Thank you, Skimmer. Now we need someone to add some Yankee Notches to their fleet and my life will be complete. Ahh, how I love thee, Soviet Union, which cannot ever, ever throw anything away.

Well, to tell you the truth, if that Derringer was undetectable by metal detectors, he could've just carried it inside his pocket. We didn't pat down diplomats on their way in, they just had to pass through metal detectors.

The Yer Mom and the Yer Face are Seawolf-class?

Also, you misnamed "Ticonderoga-class Missile Cruiser" to "Ticodera-class aircraft carrier" :D

Shroom, you sure you don't want to deploy some corvettes. minesweepers? If someone lays mines in your territory, you'd want to deal with that.

What do corvettes do?

The points system really doesn't allow me to get those without cutting down some other important stuff. Can I just add a bit of them, despite the point system limitations?

I kind of see the point system as a guideline, rather than a stone-set law. Is that okay?

EDIT:

I EDITED MY OOB.

Actually, judging from Setzer put in, you could add a few more ships.

Corvettes are mostly for shore patrol, dealing with light attack craft, minesweeping.

I'm also using the point system as a guideline, so unless anyone protests, I'm leaving my OOB as it is. Some work needs to be contracted to my shipyard anyhow.

I added a disclaimer to my OOB in the Building Your Country thread.
[DISCLAIMER: This list is incomplete and I find it extremely hard to judge which number and which proportion I should give to my - say - minesweeper ships, or engineering corps, or recon planes, or stuff. So... please bear with me.]
I mean, those things are rather inconsequential... and I didn't even know some of those stuff exist! I had to learn, like, ten new acronyms just for this.

I'm just assuming that we've got military forces that are on par with real-life nations with equivalent economies and sizes.

Also, I just discovered that the British Royal Navy has not had a single cruiser ever since 1980. Mang.

Now, for aeroplanes!

Corvettes also make handy green-water ships for "enemy" coastlines that are already largely secured. They're small ships with a variety of light weapons for air-defense, maybe some sub- and mine-hunting, and usually a medium cannon of sorts.

EDIT: I have an excellent corvette for littoral patrol and operations. Maybe Shroomania and Canissia should make a deal?

Hey, I have those small Visbys which were meant for the Baltic waters which are pretty tight. Small handy craft.

Actually, those light corvettes of yours might actually come in handy. Hmm...

Shroom, you thinking of using those LHDs to transport a MEU or something around? You might want to get some LSDs, LPDs, and/or LSTs then. The LHD won't haul a full MEU (well, assuming you make it more-or-less USMC standard) on it's own.

Of course if it's a smaller formation they're fine.

On an additional note, I updated my OOB. On paper it's all largely set in stone. I'm basically trying to find a good means to put it in the OOB post without it looking like total ass. Alas when I did it I had the various elements spread across many different files so for the moment I'm trying to consolidate the lists.

Also on the Air Force, I have 80 "strategic transports" and 200 "tactical transports" which at some point I'll divide up.

Marina, if you want I can give you the "hard numbers" of my equipment while I'm futzing about organizing them if I'm not done whenever the deadline passes.

And just because I personally suspect that the "coincidence" or some mine that just so happened to hit one of my ships that just so happened to be near the approachs to one of my bases so shortly after Shep has been such a massive dick lately is no coincidence at all doesn't mean I'm leaping to war or anything, FYI.

As I said in the game thread, I'll probably never be able to prove it. But this simply reinforces the notion that Shep is apparently set on a repeat of the last Nova Terra, at least in my own mind.

Whether that's Shep's true intentions I really don't know. But if it isn't he's doing a hell of a job trying to make us think otherwise.
