Most annoying song of modern times rant
Ok. I go to the gym everyday. The same radio station is on at the gym all the time, so I've gotten pretty used to the stuff they play. It's the same crap every day, day in, day out, but that's radio for you.
But.
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP with that goddamn annoying fucking SILVERCHAIR song called "After all these Years".
SERIOUSLY, can someone fucking explain to me, how the fuck this droning, incoherent, nonsensical gibberish (look up the lyrics- WHAT THE FUCK), with the most fucked singing voice I've ever heard, is played EVERY DAY AGAIN AND AGAIN.
IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE
Thank you.
Of course, this may be an entirely meaningless rant because these tossers may not be as popular elsewhere as they supposedly are here, but there you go, I just needed to vent at this fucking annoying offense against good taste.

Hmmm, the boys look very hot...
But I'm afraid I haven't heard of them and their music.
But I'm dead sure whatever they're doing, it can't seriously be as annoying and terrible as "Last Christmas" by Wham!
*shudder*
*vomit*
*considers shooting out my brain*

Maybe because they want you go insane. I ask the same question about ALL of today's modern music, because it's just SO BAD. Thank God for classical music or otherwise I'd go insane from it all.Vympel wrote:Ok. I go to the gym everyday. You cannot call that ear splitting tripe 'artists' are producing these days...it's not even fit to be deemed music...more like 'Loud, screeching noise'IRG CommandoJoe wrote:Maybe because they want you go insane. See the thing that pisses me off the most is that some of the singers actually could sing opera, but they choose to misuse their voice for that God-awful devil music!

Do you understand that I truly hate all of today's modern music or am I not relaying the message clearly enough? I am completely ignorant of band names as I have no interest in them.Darth Pounder wrote:Name a few bands, i'm currious, coz i kinda thrive on modern rock and metal.

Let me put it this way: What kind of music do you like, and/or which bands do you prefer?IRG CommandoJoe wrote:Do you understand that I truly hate all of today's modern music or am I not relaying the message clearly enough? I am completely ignorant of band names as I have no interest in them.

I used to go to Gold's Gym but tey kept playing "Bitter Pill" and "Man in the Mirror" so one day on my way to go work out, I stopped at the gun store, bought a used H&K G3 and deer bullets, and used it and the bullets to kill everyone in the gym. I then used my finger to write the chorus to "Man in the Mirror" on the wall in warm, flowing bodybuilder blood.
Seriously, that music, and their insistence on ignoring complaints abt it, led me to cancel.

That enough for ya?IRG CommandoJoe wrote:(Wagner's Immolation of the Gods plays.)
It's my plot to revive classical music and have a cultural renaissance that will sweep the world once again! I call upon the souls of all great composers and musicians to help me in my assault on the music industry!!! MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
(Stairs out over a balcony ala AotC.)
(Music segues into the Ride of the Valkyries.)
(Hordes of dead classical composers and musicians march around, with batons and instruments in their hands.)
(They begin beating up rappers, boy/girl groups, rock groups, etc.)
(They seize the radio station and begin broadcasting the Ride of the Valkyries as they attack, for all the world to hear.)
(They start collecting all CDs with crappy music and throwing them into a massive pile.)
(They pour gasoline over it and destroy them all.)
(The music segues into the last few chords of Bach's Tocata and Fugue in D Minor for the organ, except they are held for an exceptionally long period of time and are fortissimo.)

Ever consider asking the radio station to be changed?

They had the DMX receiver right there behind the counter, but they always said something abt corporate policy and refused to change it. A gym full of people musta really loved that music!Me wrote:Seriously, that music, and their insistence on ignoring complaints abt it, led me to cancel.
