Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:I wonder if non-Canissians are allowed to offer arms to the Katangwa Free State. There's a whole lot of decommissioned and surplus equipment I have that Colonel S'vimbi would be interested in; I could also build some new stuff for him if he wants.

I'll have to wait for Shroom to return before I can make an offer for some F-15 ACTIVEs and F-16XLs, but I can get to work on upgrading my army and navy right now. Who has some decommissioned Spruances or Kidds that need to go? Alternately, who's willing to build me some Arleigh Burkes and additional Sachsens? Who manufactures M2 Bradleys or their equivalents? I know Byzantium operates the K2 Black Panther, but I'd like to keep my options open by seeing if there are any countries that build Leopard 2s or are willing to put together a consignment of M1 Abrams with Rheinmetall L55 guns.
I operate Challenger 2s with a slightly cut-down Rheinmetall L/55 (referred to as Challenger IIC or 2C) and am willing to sell in moderate numbers. I do have a very large contract with the motherland to sell them Chally IICs, but I think I could make you a battallion worth, maybe more?

As far as the ships, I have a couple-three VLS-equipped longhull Oliver Hazard Perry-class ships I'm willing to let go of, as I have newer Burke-based frigates completing very soon. PM me if you'd like them.

Lastly, I produce and field Desert Warrior IFVs; these are british FV510 Warrior IFVs with new LAV-25 turrets, armed with 30mm Bushmaster II cannons and one TOW missile launcher on each side of the turret. I can produce some of these for you as well.

Let me know! :)

A moment of humor for everyone:

[01:10] Steve: I've decided of the coolest way to destroy Shepistan with material of my own creation. Something even Shep should enjoy.

[01:11] * EvilPapist watches as Sheppard and the Atomik Dolphin defect to Shepistan
[01:11] * EvilPapist giggles
[01:11] * Steve sees maneuver backfire with Sqd. Ld. Sheppard landing instead and giving the B-202s over to the Shepistani Air Force.... dammit, Shep, I was writing that!

Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:Just out of curiosity, how much does an individual KDX-III cost? Also, I already operate Sachsens; I could consider acquiring some F100s to supplant them, but personally, I don't think it'd make much sense for me from a logistical standpoint.
I think the KDX-III is at most half billion more because of the extra tonnes and the additional cells beyond what an Arleigh Burke Flight IIA carries. I am working on a heavily stretched version, but that is under the wraps at the moment.

As for the Sachsens, I think lots of us operate the F-100 since it uses the Aegis system and thus easier to integrate with the rest of the fleet, not least they all use the same missiles. Which incidentally actually reduces the logistics.
Another question: What's the unit price of the Puma IFV?
Apparently, it's 3 billion euros for 405 vehicles. If you have specific requests for modifications, such as the BMP-4 turret, I can accomodate.
I'm a bit reluctant to take the K2 Black Panthers right off the bat; some quick and dirty Wiki research reveals that they currently have a unit price of about US$8.5 million, though I'm pretty sure that mass production would drive that figure down.
They cost more largely because of the electronics, which are the most up to date at the moment, along with soft-kill defensive systems, not to mention an excellent suspension system. Plus, you get to fire some weird top attack ammunition called KSTAM. I'll probably rig up a missile later. I plan to do an upgrade of those tanks, comprising of an armour upgrade, inclusion of another radar for improved fire control, more powerful engine, and an electrothermal-chemical gun. The latter two are the hardest but the gun should be ready in 1-2 years. Getting a larger engine in might take a bit of work though. Might get to work on another tank to replace it in a few years time.

Yeah, they will cost less if mass produced. I guess i can put down a US$4 million price tag down if you order a couple hundred or more.

EDIT: PeZook, do you plan to continue the SNC, or you are operating on elastic timing? That is screeching to a halt until you submit your own input.

We will sell it, but of course the formulae for the Greek fire is an ancient secret.

Where do you want to mount the turret? Note that the whole vehicle has to be used to store the liquids.

I don't care where you mount the turret, just as long as it kills and burns things. :D

Hmm... I'd have to work out a proper storage system for the tank in question.

I could actually order some recon Kirovs from you Shady - in case their ceiling is around 18-22km, making them useful and feasible as limited weapon/recon platforms. With a large L.O.S. and a good FAR, the airship can be stuffed with R-172 missiles to provide meaningful defense against enemy aircraft.

Actually, BAM should be rolling out a Stratellite with a MP-RTIP radar and probably with the appropriate defensive systems soon.

Stas, I'd like to stop by the CSR after I leave PeZookia, if that;s OK.

Right now I'm kinda in "elastic time" WRT to PeZook, RogueIce, etc...
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

I went ahead and wrote up something about the major factions in the CFR. Please tell me what you all think. I should also be noted that this doesn't include the parts of the CFR nearest Klavostan. A special political situation exists there which I'll let Klavo Hunter elaborate on.

Should I go ahead and post this in the order of battle page?

Curse you and your format-breaking image, Shady! *shakes fist*

We don't all over super-duper widescreen HD monitors you know.

Anyway, I have 18 OHPs I can sell off, as my new frigate designs come online. Or maybe it was 14? *checks* Ah yes, 14 indeed.

Man I'm going to need another spreadsheet soon, I can tell. Probably for my merchant marine when the ISCA gets in gear. Of course I already have one, it's just undefined at the moment. Oh well...

*tries to remember if there was anything else important he wanted to say, gets nothing* Well it'll no doubt come to me five minutes after I've logged off and shut my computer down.

EDIT: Oh yeah, me and Coyote are at the SNC conference as well, in case anyone forgot. We would have showed up with PeZook.

Fourteen Oliver Hazard Perrys? How much for each individual ship, and can I save money if I buy in bulk?
I ship Eino Ilmari Juutilainen x Lydia V. Litvyak.

I would say 80% of whatever an OHP normally costs (naturally I can't find a quick and easy source for this; anyone know a place to get prices on these things and other military equipment?) and yes, I'll give you a bulk discount.

I want at least 45 frigates in service at any given time, which means I'll still need 9 of them until new frigates are finished building. So I can sell off 5 of them right now, with more later.

I too would greatly appreciate the opportunity to buy three or so.

If Baerne and Karmic Knight each get three OHPs, that means that I'll only get eight at most. I can still make use of those eight nonetheless.

If it makes you happier, I'm going to be replacing my current OHPs with new frigates. I've got 11.

We need to determine pricing first; I'd like to see if you can meet or beat whatever deal RogueIce is going to offer me.
