So, anyone else for a Cascadian-hosted Frequesuan neutrality summit or shall I have that red carpet rolled back up?

Well, I anticipated it'd be months in-game before the summit was even confirmed, much less scheduled.Master_Baerne wrote:I'm still coming, though perhaps we might wait until Shep and Lonestar are finished killing each other.Steve wrote:*looks up from list of ADN starship designs* Oh, hrm, almost forgot I was in this STGOD.

Well, now those refugee camps are going to become even -more- heavily guarded. As will the people Beowulf is so kindly arranging dispersion for.Stas Bush wrote:P.S. Hey Raj, are you trying to kill the Operation Judith?
I thought the hundreds of saboteurs and agents the PRSF sent in with the refugee wave at least would, like, bomb something (or kill someone, which is also good).
Though I see Czech doesn't notice the fact that he assembled thousands of people into fugee camps and did nothing afterwards
Thanks for the tip, feiren.

What was that thing that happened last game, where someone got OOC information, used it, and it was wrong?DarthShady wrote:That is OOC information, you can't use that ingame.
For some reason I remember that being mentioned somewhere, like in the first planning thread or something.

Anyway, would Raj, Coiler, and the other Frequesque players mind if I added one more small faction to the CFR clusterfuck? Rogue elements of the Minoy military and a heretofore-missing member of the former Langley military junta obviously wouldn't be a good thing...

I'm all for another member of the clusterfuck, maybe they'll be better to negotiate with than any of the groups Raj Posted.Shinn Langley Soryu wrote: Anyway, would Raj, Coiler, and the other Frequesque players mind if I added one more small faction to the CFR clusterfuck? On that note, what is the Winter Army's claim in the CFR? I was thinking about recognizing them as a PR move for Operation Stabilizer, if I do so, will they start claiming to be the legitimate authority of the CFR, or will they be content with their domain?

I did, but not that episode apparently.Sea Skimmer wrote:You clearly never watched Sea Quest.RogueIce wrote:I'd say it's about as legitimate as that "pirate attack" Skimmer pulled off, myself.Stas Bush wrote:And Greenpeace buying a Foxtrot sub? Really? Can they even do it? I think no sane nation would give them a possibility to buy such an asset. Also, why did they attack Shep and say not my nuclear bulkers travelling the Arctic waters? Sounds like ad-hoc reason to "increase our military presence". Well, well
Anyway, my comment was more along the lines of, IU, this "Greenpeace with a sub" story will probably be regarded as a fabrication on the part of Shepistan so they could make up a reason for an arctic base. At least for those of us who are especially distrustful of Shepistan and Japanistan.

Anyways - MESS folk, the IRT is offering use of their high-speed transports to move around people as needed - it's currently based in one of the Northeast Velerian nations since your local airfields are all mined and wrecked. You can probably use a smaller aircraft to transfer the patients and from there to an isolation ward and research facility ... like a BSL4 facility.

Actually there was a game post about Judith - with the refugee camp inmates stirring trouble and rioting. That is OOC information, you can't use that ingame.
So he's within his rights.
After all, launching a terror/sabotage/assassinate campaign against Czech's nation and than saying "well, dude, you got bombed by my Shahid and so you're dead" is not exactly fair play. He should have some warning.

The Winter Army just wants to run their own little area for the moment. Their claims on their own section of land are dubious at best, there is really no way they could make a claim on the whole country. If we recognize them, that will set the stage for the partition of the CFR into numerous smaller countries, which is as a good a solution as any.Karmic Knight wrote:I'm all for another member of the clusterfuck, maybe they'll be better to negotiate with than any of the groups Raj Posted.Shinn Langley Soryu wrote: Anyway, would Raj, Coiler, and the other Frequesque players mind if I added one more small faction to the CFR clusterfuck? Eh, Go for it I say. Another faction won't really change the equation there. Just please don't use their existence to justify sending in an intervention force unilaterally .Shinn Langley Soryu wrote:

Fracturing the CFR is the only choice that I see getting us out and with a semblance of peace in that region, any government covering the entire country will end up pissing off the groups that get the short stick, and the groups that get the short stick will just repeat the pattern seen here.Raj Ahten wrote:The Winter Army just wants to run their own little area for the moment. The winter army wants the central highlands, a mountainous region rich in minerals. Right now they are essentially a military organization run by that Ex-general. He's talking about being called the "governer" or something along those lines. Essesntilly it would be a dictatorship.Karmic Knight wrote:Fracturing the CFR is the only choice that I see getting us out and with a semblance of peace in that region, any government covering the entire country will end up pissing off the groups that get the short stick, and the groups that get the short stick will just repeat the pattern seen here.Raj Ahten wrote:The Winter Army just wants to run their own little area for the moment. I suppose, but trade options are not as important as quelling a potential insurgency.
PS: it's been confirmed in studies that people being starved and kept in a dangerous camp tend to become stool pigeons when they're offered food and safety. something about 'hunger weakening the will', I believe.

A question to ask: I know you FTO dudes are busy having fun persecuting the random rabble in Frequesue, but.... how the fuck do you plan to pay for all that war you guys are prosecuting? It's surely going to be a dent on your economies, particularly trade and investment. Who is going to invest if you guys keep running units from one end to the other?

I'm trying my damnedest not to be in more than one war at once, my plate is full with my part of Operation Stabilizer and the Settlement. The Vineyards, we're stable and our leader is a pacifist, so you know we can be trusted with your money, I mean, investments.
