I disagree. Creative is a fine pick for beating up on the AI, which is fairly passive and lets you take advantage of the long term benefits of the creative pick. In multi-player, however, picking creative will generally result in you getting steam-rolled by players that choose picks which offer a faster advantage (i.e. unification and lithovore).Coalition wrote:Creative is pretty much a game breaker.

I liked the part where he was travelling home from a music rehearsal, and he dreamed up the anti-Orion Globe. Although, I shouldn't make fun of him too much, as I've written some lengthy articles on gaming, recently Team Fortress.Stark wrote:I actually really enjoyed that guy's writing style - I could almost see the pocket protector.
People mod everything. Any game that doesn't hardcore suck ass (and some that do) get their own modding community. I was recently amused to discover that Chex Quest had its own mods.phongn wrote:People actually modded MOO2?

umm, the "upgrades" in the final patched version now refit to the newest design class so you can't coustomize the refits at all, and Creative is now more expensive.xammer99 wrote:1. You name the class of the ship you are building. The only way to change an individual one is with a refit I believe.
2. You research 1 tech at a time.
And that game freakin rules me still.

Glad I didn't patch up then. I like having to specifically refit them. Although the latest shields and computer will still auto-upgrade the moment I open the Design or Refit windows. And the hull and engine stuff is automatic. The Yosemite Bear wrote:umm, the "upgrades" in the final patched version now refit to the newest design class so you can't coustomize the refits at all, and Creative is now more expensive.
Of course you can still downgrade. Which I had to do once when my new Class III shields took up more space than I had and I wanted that Mass Driver to stay damn it!

Whoever says "education does not matter" can try ignorance

A decision must be made in the life of every nation at the very moment when the grasp of the enemy is at its throat. Then, it seems that the only way to survive is to use the means of the enemy, to rest survival upon what is expedient, to look the other way. Well, the answer to that is 'survival as what'? A country isn't a rock. It's not an extension of one's self. It's what it stands for. It's what it stands for when standing for something is the most difficult! - Chief Judge Haywood
