Teyla goes in disguise as a Wraith queen when Todd seeks the team's help securing an alliance with another Wraith hive.

Here's the usual talkback up for the latest episode (though due to cable issues, I'll have to catch a rerun).

I actually enjoyed this one, but I don't expect to be in the majority. It did strike me as either foreshadowing or amusing that Teyla-Queen became more ruthless and pitiless than she was expected to be.
Manic Progressive: A liberal who violently swings from anger at politicos to despondency over them.
Out Of Context theatre: Ron Paul has repeatedly said he's not a racist. - Destructinator XIII on why Ron Paul isn't racist.

I thought it was a pretty decent episode. I enjoy Todd episodes on the whole, as you never quite know what he's up to. For a villain, he's got some Ba'al-like qualities, a pragmatist who isn't afraid to work with his enemies to further achieve his goals. He's not "rar evil" Michael. The plan he came up with was extremely risky, but you could see the desperation, in addition to the opportunity Tayla presented him. This new therapy also brings out a further moral component; now Atlantis has to choose between trying to exterminate the Wraith, and helping them to get off their human addiction.
All and all, one of the better SGA episodes this season, and a vast improvement over last week.

It's Jodan, not Jordan. If you can't quote it right, I will mock you.

I liked it too, Todd is a great character.
Stuart: The only problem is, I'm losing track of which universe I'm in.

I quite enjoyed this one as well. Todd's surprises and treacheries are always welcome.
And the Hive battle was quite an improvement to the Hive battles of the past. Although this episodes showed that the Wraith actually give a shit about their drones and darts even though it didn't quite seem that way in the past. Maybe they started caring as their populations began shrinking in the past few years.
Turning Teyla into a Wraith did remind me of DS9 and Voyager too. Not in a negative way either. I loved the episode when Sisko & Co were turned into Klingons.

I thought last week people overreacted to what I felt was a shallow but reasonably entertaining episode.
This week the writers showed their ability to take borrowed premises and put very interesting twists on it.
Todd is one of my favourite characters on this show, especially after recently re-watching season 4 and I feel this final season so far is proving itself to be far more hit than miss.
and Finally we get a new fx shot of two hives fighting rather than the same season 2 shot used yet again. (although we did see that in the intro)
