Yes I am. At the end of the year, they are being phased out in favour of more Gripen's.

Wow people claiming to have taken Shepistani air defences by surprise… after Shepistan just took the in game equivalent of like a month to prepare for a huge bomber offensive… and you don’t think ANY defensive alerts or preparations would be involved with this? Yeah fucking right.

Relax Skimmer, I also said that they were getting pinged left and right by Shepistani air defenses.

The coalition forces managed to clear the skies quick enough for initial airstikes, nothing more.

And it's not like war with Shep is a surprise that we haven't prepared & trained for, too.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!!

I love how people forget what BOMARC was.

BOMARC was not some dinky portable trailer system like PATRIOT or HAWK; which can be blown to pieces by cluster bomblets or 1,000 lb unitary warheads striking the center of the trailer arrangement.

It consists of lots of heavily hardened bunkers, each one holding an individual F-99F BOMARC and it's launcher.

Seconly, the F-99F hits Mach 3.1 at 85,000 feet; and can cruise out at this speed to 600 miles. That means pretty much ANYTHING other than a SR-71 or F-12 is in danger of being chased down and killed by it.

And unlike conventional SAMs, if you do a hard turn and dive plus decoys to escape the missile; you aren't safe....because another BOMARC nearby can be retargeted in flight to attac you, or the BOMARC you evaded simply turns around and begins chasing you all over again...that 600 mile range means it's absurdly dangerous.

BTW Shep, the 130 mile range for AS-6 is in reference to the low altitude mach 1.2 profile available for latter versions of the missile, which was an interim modification made to defeat AEGIS without needing eighty billion missiles. In the normal high altitude multi mach flight profile range is over 250 miles, and the newest 2000s era Russian upgrade extends that to over 400 miles.

Semi hardened is more accurate way of describing the real Bomarc shelters, but it is more then enough to make cluster bomblets and near misses by iron bombs ineffective. The real joy of Bomarc is that it could get target designation and mid course guidance from a number of different normal search radars, you can’t knock out a battery just by taking out 1-2 radar systems as is the case with about 99% of SAM systems.

Yes, we get that you are trying to spam us with 1970s interceptors in order to overwhelm us when we have half as many of the next generation interceptors and fighters.

I'm waiting for everyone's SAM systems to start shooting down their own aircraft. With neither side having air superiority and a heavy electronic warfare environment, planes are going to get shot down when their IFF's fail or are just not listened to. Who can keep flying once attrition takes hold will also be interesting.

These aren't 1970s interceptors. They were built in 1984 with engines, fire control radars, and datalinks equivalent to the MiG-31. They just sound old because they're technically part of the F-106 lineage.

Fine replace 1970 with 1980.

Marina 'accidentally' forgot a lot of shit. If you could point me to a scale image of the Fucklands or a previous map with the Fucklands on it (there was at least one) I'll add it to my updated version.

And the MiG-31 is awesome for the 1980s. Datalinking between aircraft to share radar images, and being able to control and launch weapons on MiG-25s and other aircraft, along with a honest to god phased array radar, something the USAF wouldn't have until the F-22; plus it's D30-F6 puts out a staggering 20,000 lbs dry. The F-100 on the F-16 and F-15 only put out 23,000~ lbs with afterburner.

FTO Guys

I didn't mention this when I posted it, but the neutrality proposition is part of a plan to add a third pillar to the FTO's base. Basically calling for it to be a multinational Switzerland with a Defesive Pact, and with the goal of protecting the homeland (the Goddamn F-ing Continent) from 'partisan' invasion. (Foreign)

Also, I will be adding a new faction to the CFR clusterfuck, run by a priest. I just need to write up the back story.
Arthur Dimmsdale's Faction
OOB:
1 Priest
1 Warehouse
20 Workers
10 Clergymen
1 Chapel
3 Cars
-Hearse
-Utility Truck
-Moving Van
Small Arms
The Hearts And Minds of the People (Under Construction)

...And this counts as a faction?
Conversion Table:

2000 Mockingbirds = 2 Kilomockingbirds
Basic Unit of Laryngitis = 1 Hoarsepower
453.6 Graham Crackers = 1 Pound Cake
1 Kilogram of Falling Figs - 1 Fig Newton
Time Between Slipping on a Banana Peel and Smacking the Pavement = 1 Bananosecond

It does when their goal is to become a democratically elected leader. It is also adding a religious element to the CFR clusterfuck.

It does seem more like a small NGO than a faction vying for control of the country.

It just seems like a rather pointless goal in an area under military occupation in lieu of any form of government. Though religion might be useful in channeling the energies of the populace into less destructive ends.
