So I recently bought a whole stack of Soviet Life magazines:

It's basically a propaganda magazine. Published in US and USSR via special agreement between the US/USSR through the USSR Embassy.

Much of the work in it seems to be by Novosti.

No; I just saw them by accident at my used bookstore and grabbed them all; unfortunately, they did not focus on what I liked; GUNS AND TANKS :cry:

I do have the 1990 one; and it's so fun reading THAT one, knowing the Fall is months away. :lol:

The last book from the first pic looks like it was from 1990.
