CGI Vader's TIE x1

Post by fractalsponge1 »

I had this one on the back burner for a while. Did the cockpit and the back module, but couldn't be bothered finishing the wings and the fan-tail. But dusted it off yesterday and finished it up. Few rough edges still, but not bad.

Rough edges!

What you call perfect must be painfully beautiful.

Very nice by the way. I've never noticed that the rear section of the hull doesnt connect to the wings before though.

So these are cool and all, but is there any purpose to them? Do you do anything with them or are they just general practice like with the majority of my sketches and drawings?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Hit it.

Sometimes he uses them to make awesome things like this.
どうして?お前が夜に自身お触れるから。
Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil,
but a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow
was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now, the fool
seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku...

Fixed a few issues on the wing, re-exposed the detail under the grille.

And mostly they're just for fun. I think of it more like sculpture - what do you do with it afterwards but enjoy the view? :)

Sometimes I put them into compositions, but that's actually harder than making the ships or models themselves. Especially animations. The walker was a killer process, but I did learn a lot.

That is stunningly nice... It just looks so much more nicer than it was in the movie...

Anyways when are you going to do another ship?
