Doctor Who 12" Radio Control Dalek Sec for $27.50 at B&N

Post by Soontir C'boath »

Moderators, please do punt this somewhere else if need be.

I just found on Barnes and Nobles that they are selling the 12" R/C Dalek Sec for $27.50 and ships for free; this is a steal.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

It says its out of stock now. Any way I already got a remote control 12 inch black dalek, from the classic series, and a remote control Dalek Sec, albeit a smaller version.

Yes, I was going to post how quickly it sold out yesterday but I felt it'd just be a +1. :P I had posted it on the Doctor Who Forum as well so that probably explains the speed it all sold.

Dammit! That means I can't have it now! Thanks a lot, Soontir.

Oh wait, I can go to the local Tesco and get this item of alien death for a tenner.

You lot are getting discounts up the wazoo from what I've been reading at the Doctor Who Forum. I'm of the mind to get one of you blokes to buy up a bunch of stuff and send them to me across the pond. It'll probably still be a good amount cheaper even after postage and of course an incentive fee for doing it than buying from our local retailers.

Have any of you seen the voice controlled 18 inch versions? I'd get one, but Zaia would probably beat me round the head with it.

I saw about 3 on sell at gamesworld. !-2 months later they are all gone. I got enough 18 inch daleks anyway, but I wouldn't mind buying it as a present for another fan.

They're actually going for as low as $120-130 now; Mike's Comics and WhoNA.

I don't plan on getting the 18" R/C though as I've heard many are defective. What I really want is the next wave of the classic series in which Pertwee and Tenth Planet Cybermen will be included. I love those Cybermen and how they speak.

What is the next wave of the classic series that you speak off? AFAIK they released a couple of figures including the 4th to 6th doctors, sea devils and a couple of other classic Who. If they are planning to release the Pertwee figure I am definitely going to get that.

Well, actually, I should have said it is only a rumour (I can hope it is just not!) but according to DoctorWhoToys.net, these figures will be in the next wave.
  • Dalek Collectors Set #2 - Imperial Dalek, Renegade Supreme Dalek & +1 Dalek (to be confirmed)
  • Third Doctor with Sonic Screwdriver
  • Seventh Doctor with 3 Variants of Umbrella
  • Eighth Doctor with changeable Head
  • Mummy with Urn
  • Ice Warrior with Gun
  • Morbius Monster with Solon
  • V9 Robot and Stickers TBC
If not, Pertwee should be in third wave as original rumors had him in as well as Troughton.

Hmm, wow, I just realized the Tenth Planet Cybermen aren't on that list. I wonder if they're waiting to release him with Hartnell then (if they will anyway).

The second wave should be coming in April so concrete information is still a long way off.

Well I will definitely be looking at getting the 3rd, 7th and 8th doctors, the ice warrior and maybe a few daleks too to add to my growing army. Just got the supreme dalek yesterday and currently trying to win the assault dalek and the classical gold / black dalek on ebay. Economic crisis you say, what crisis. :P
