Seconded, highly annoying.
Thirded. The auto-login and several others get the yellow highlight which looks like my Wand is trying to check them off automatically but I can't do so. This also applies to all of the posting reply options, really anything in terms of a check box doesn't seem to be workign with 9.5x. I'm gonna go to the 9.6 beta and see if that helps.

*Addendum 9.6beta does not fix the problem for me.

Are the font sizes being tweaked? The main page was huge just a second ago, and SDN is the only site where it's happening.

It switches to scroll mode if you click somewhere other than a link; clicking on a link opens in a background tab.

Anyway:

Click here since the image is still too big for the damned filter.

Shrunk 50% to avoid breaking the format, so it's not particularly readable, but I think the problem is obvious.

I believe the phpbb software guys decided to go XHTML compliant, and the target="_top" attribute is not XHTML compliant so they dropped it. It's anyone's guess why the w3c people deprecated this, but they did.

Is there a way to hack the target="_top" attribute back in?

Okay, I give up. Where's the Quick Reply button/link on the new DarkSoul?

There is such a thing as right-clicking the link and click "open in new tab". Oh wow, you have to do two clicks instead of one! :P
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Yes, figured that out already but it's as annoying as people who use all caps, after years of using automatic new tabs.

I'd have to say that the new "Online-Offline" templates are quite a lot harder to read than the ones we had yesterday.

I agree though I understand changing them because they looked an awful lot like the old Senator/Governor/Admin tags. Speaking of which are those coming back?

I altered them a bit, to make them more legible. I also created a MillenniumFalcon skin for BlackSoul; it was a lot easier than making a complete new style. You can select it in the user control panel like any other style, even though it's really nothing more than a different stylesheet.

As for the old badges, that's on my to-do list. See my latest post in the upgrade thread.

I don't know if you forgot to upload it or what, but the "Reply" button for locked topics isn't there:

Gets a red x and going to the link produces a 404.

My bad. The button exists, but I named it incorrectly in the config file. It's an easy change, either for the filename itself or in the config file.

At present, I can't see the mod forum or any private forum where I'm not a member, and I also can't post in the Senate (oddly, I can edit my existing replies in the Senate). All my mod tools are still active in all public forums, and I can access the moderator control panel. I'm still listed as a mod by the software.

OK, you should be able to see the mod forum again, and post in the Senate. I'm not sure what the policy was on private forums; were mods supposed to have access to those? I know that the womens' forum was made off-limits; I don't recall if any others were as well.

In any case, some of these glitches are due to my attempts to migrate our old moderator permissions system to the new system, which has built-in groups like "Global Moderators" instead of our "Supermod" group. Please let me know if you run into any other oddities.

This is a minor nitpick at best, but would it be possible to move member bars back under the avatar? Something looks odd if the governer and senator tags are shown above the avatar.

I know for certain I couldn't see GALE, and if I recall correctly, the Heavy Armor Brigade is invisible to non-member supermods. I could also never see Spamworld, and if the admins have their own forum, I couldn't see that. As far as I know, I saw all the other private forums.

Oh man. I really wish I didn't have to tell you this...but I have access to the ban panel now.

Unless you're planning to let supermods have ban powers. In which case this isn't so much a software problem as it is totally fucking awesome.

Shhh....this is all part of the ultimate plan of downsizing the membership :P .

As a note, it is interesting that now one no longer needs to remember how long a temp ban is and there are other options.

EDIT : I see someone hit "Edit" instead of "quote".

interesting form of censorship is taking place. Windows won't certify many subjects in N&P. Namely the Gay Marriage discussion, and the political cartoon thread. For some reason those two threads are being listed as being "Unsafe" for your computer, under Vista.
