At first I thought that 2008 being the year of the dead sniper was a bit of hyperbole. I mean, Lockon Stratos was my favourite character in Gundam 00, as was Mikhail, but that's only two. And then I find out they killed Kurz Weber in the Full Metal Panic books. Holy crap.

We did see Battle Frontier transform. It was during the scenes with zombie Ranka staring out at the Frontier fleet. As cool as the New Macross Class ships are, the transformation isn't terribly exciting. And stop quoting TVtropes, it's like the ultimate neckbeared wasteland of "I woulda done it this way!!!!"

So, does anyone think Grace will return in the movie? I mean, she did transfer to a new body after her old one was eaten along with a chunk of Galia IV. Getting shot in the face isn't quite as bad as that. We never see the Galaxy's colony ship after episode 15, so she'd have a place to go. I imagine she might be a bit put out with Frontier and Alto right now.

Entirely possible. Though you'd expect with the destruction of Battle Galaxy and the loss of the Vajra that the Galaxy fleet would have lost most of it's combat power, and would be significantly reduced as a threat.

I think the biggest hanging thread is Mr. Bilrer's search for Megaroad 01, and that might be the focus of the movie.

Well, I don't think there's anything planned. TSR is the last series of FMP! as an anime, but there's plenty of material available from the novels, which are still on-going. That spoiler is from the most recent.

I've just got to point out something that vexes me to no end.

If the Vajira weren't made by the protoculture, then why does singing affect them like it does? As Ford said earlier, Being affected by singing is a quirk of everything the protoculture makes, but the protoculture didn't make them, they just emulated them with that birdman thingy from zero (Suck on that, anyone who expected some giant connection with zero!) So I don't understand why singing attracts them. It's heavily stated that Aimo draws them near, because it's a song they used to communicate with other races long ago, but why does Sheyrl's J-Pop crap stall them up? Sure she's emitting fold waves, but can't they just go "oh, just comm jamming. ignore it and kill the squishy mammal-thingies?"

The Protoculture were attempting to emulate the Vajra queen. So it's probably safe to say that the singing thing originated with the Vajra, the Protoculture just copied that over when they were doing all their experiments.

In related news, Macross Ace Frontier has missions where you play as the Zents and Vajra. It seems to be missing Seventh Moon and Northern Cross, though.

Just before Alto shoots her, her facial expression turns from angry to very calm and blank. It wouldn't be suprising if that was due to her conciousness getting the hell out of there.

Plus, we never really found out where she was from or much of anything about her background beyond her goals. It'd be nice for her to be fleshed out a fair bit more.

Okay, I can't help it. Macross Ace Frontier is amazing. Sure, I played and loved Gundam Battle Universe, and sure there's a limit to mission types and depth to a PSP game, but this has bigger maps and goddamn multi-target locking missiles. Just great.
