Heh. Even if they were equivalent, I would want to know the exact wording of what he said, and whether there's any proof. Right-wingers and Golden Mean tards are notorious for simply inventing things in order to suit their political rhetoric. They'll say that both sides are just as bad first, and then they'll go looking for examples afterwards. They don't even know beforehand whether it's true: they simply state it as if it's true, and then hope they can back it up later.

Frankly, lines like "you see that on both sides" and "the other side is just as bad" are so shopworn and cliched that certain people say them almost by reflex. Who cares if it's true or not, right?

The closest I've seen is a video that made the news a day ago, where upon mentioning McCain, the crowd rises in a crescendo of Boos. Nothing individually nasty like the traitors and kill him remarks, yet the response from Obama is to pause, 'We don't need that. We don't need that.' Settling the crowd down. Once it dies down, he adds, 'What we need to do is vote.' And then got on with his speech.

A marked difference from the indifference from McCain Palin.
