Sarah Palin a role model for women?

Really?

Jeez, most of his mini-speech on Sarah Palin sounded most of all like a cut-and-paste.

I think Palin's son has Down Syndrome, not Autism. Nice try, John, but fail.

Haha, does it sound to anyone else that Obama sounded like he was having a really hard time trying to sufficiently compliment Palin?

It IS funny. Best debate so far, in my opinion.
I haven't watched the others, but I'm enjoying this one very much.

And the comedy value keeps going up.

Okay. Is it just me, or did he just stray dangerously close to the anti-vaccine craziness when talking about autism on the rise?

Obama was awfully gentle to Sarah Palin. I was hoping for another smackdown moment, but I hope that his gentlemanly attitude flies with the swing voters. I'm already sold, after all.

Okay. I really liked the way Obama took McCain's autism comment and noted that if McCain wants to get serious about you can't have a budget freeze.

I was thinking the same thing too Temjin.

Probably. They've both, at the very least, payed lip service to that nonsense.

McCain's last chance. He's being more forceful but just giving Obama more to have fun smacking down. That's what's going on.

Did McCain say Palin would be a "breast" of fresh air, or was I just hearing what I wanted to hear?

If I had to bet, I'd guess Obama is more likely to know where it is. After all, he seemed confused over the location of Spain and Iran.

Oooh, McCain calls out Obama on not knowing about Colombia, and Obama comes back with a thoughtful understanding of the issues surrounding Colombian free trade.

This is a way more awesome debate than the last ones.

I have never seen anyone give an "Oh Shit" face as clearly as McCain just did when Obama started talking about Columbia.
