Better to use up the old Mark 36's on Speeders

The tracking of that small of a surface target should be possible thanks to the high noise output

Well the USN recently did test out an anti surface mode for RAM and Phalanx mounts. Most effective it would seem.

Isn't a torpedo a bit excessive? I mean, a modified AIM-9 is one thing, but a full-blown torpedo?

Spearfish torpedo. Top speed estimated to be in the range of 65-70 kts (~120km/h), masses 2 tonnes and has a 300KG warhead. The SAR types would be damned lucky to find any remains of the PWC larger than the size of the PWC operator's brain.

Tell that to LPD-17, twin stabilized turreted 30mm cannon, each with a thermal imager, low light TV camera and laser rangefinder for the owning of boghammers. Options for local control or remote from the CIC.

Puny thing, the Russian 65-73 torpedo is a real torpedo. 650mm diameter, overall weight 8,800 pounds, range 50,000 meters at 50 knots. Warhead, nuclear. Though there's also a wake homer variant with a 992-pound warhead conventional known as 65-76.

Now the only down side is the whole Kerosene-Hydrogen Peroxide Turbine propulsion thing that's thought to have sent the Kursk to the bottom of the sea.

Sadly for me, but apparently luckily for you guys, PWC are starting to slow down. The books for accessories have become thinner and thinner. Why am I sad, well first off, people were too god damned irresponsible with them, much like SUVs, and laws got slapped to them. So people aren't buying as much as they were. Which sucks, because it made summer pay checks when you make commision some hell. However, this website is funnier than shit.
