I have a special interest, John; a special interest in honesty and prioritizing the facts. That's the only "special interest" you seem to have any success taking on.

Debate's over, both Obama and McCain were at the top of their game. It's too bad that Obama plays for the All Stars and McCain for the pee-wee league.

One of the first C-SPAN comments was interesting - it was a guy claiming to have served under Admiral McCain (John McCain's father), whom he accused of leaving him out to dry, and asked why McCain supported a writer who said that all those in the Liberty Incident should have been killed.

One of the Fox News commentators noted that McCain almost did Obama a favour by bringing-up the Ayers thing. I totally called it.

Me and a mate watched the worm on CNN...there'd be an interesting thesis in examining voters reactions to certain phrases. It seemed to straightline when actual policy was discussed, but as soon as one of the phrases hammered in by the campaign was uttered ('change', for example) it leapt.

Favourite moment remains in the second half when he mentioned Palin and Trig...and it nosedived. The sympathy vote ain't coming in, John.

McCain's entire campaign is on the ropes. He came out swinging wildly tonight, but he continues to lack the overall finesse and skill that Obama has.

What? When is it asserted he was left speechless?

My favorite part of that debate was on health care, when Obama clearly explains how his plan works, how there's a plan given to government workers that people can buy into if they don't have private insurance, how small businesses are exempt from the fees that would help support the plan, and so forth. And McCain then apparently has a brain fart and seagues back into Nonsense Mode, once again bringing up "share our wealth" and how Obama's plan was going to tell you what doctors to go to and what not even though Obama had just said that the plan doesn't. Amazing, wasn't it?

NBC had him as a post debate republican...guy, during his summary of the debate (which was hilarious) at one point he said that McCain seemed to be doing better to him because apparently Obama was occasionally left speechless in response to McCain, which is either him being funny, crazy, or from another dimension.

Loved Obama simply contradicting McCain on what his actual position was again and again, calmly and clearly. McCain hated it and the only time he had a response was on the vouchers issue.

Hillary Clinton was just on CNN as part of the post-debate coverage, praising Obama and emphasizing McCain's pro-Bush voting record.

Interestingly, she also just implied she would turn down a cabinate post on the grounds that the Democrats need every Senator they can get.
