Kill your God!
Guttermouth - Veggicide
Something's up
Something's on my mind
I try to go to sleep
I try to pass the time
What gives you the right
To kill a harmless carrot
Growing in God's sunlight
You say they're best
You say they're best for you
I say it's not true
You say they make
A damn good stew
So it's time
It's time to liberate
Don't eat a carrot
Spare it
And don't eat the beet
On your plate
All my friends say
Veggies feel no pain
All my friends say
Veggies have no brains
All my friends say
Veggies feel no pain
Don't stir fry by me!
Ya-ya-ya!

You know, I have an old college-buddy who begin to worry me...
He became a vegetarian a few years ago (when he was 16), then he switched to veganism (at 22), now he is what he calls a CRUDIVOR (don't know the English translation, CRUDI= "crudités" = raw vegetables).
He wont eat anything that could have been cooked, only stuff like raw-bread, salads, nuts, etc. Let me tell you that were I live, it's KRIFFING COLD. If my ancestors, those noble lumberjacks, had this kind of diet, they would have died on their first day on the jobs!
But then again, my friend believe in OVNIs, 9/11 conspiracy, Bigfoots, etc...

Sounds like your friend has a veritable flea circus of bad ideas in his head. Tell me, did he major in philosophy? They're usually pretty whacked out. Probably comes from realizing they've spent 4 years and tens of thousands of dollars learning shit that won't even get them promoted to the fryer at Burger King.

Actually, vegetarians can avoid health problems associated with their dietary habits... if they take a lot of vitamins.
By the way, what are the PETA going to say about THAT news story??

"We'd just like to say...well, we really fucked this whole thing up. See, we're all just animal lovers at heart, and we just wanted to do what's best, but because of our irrational, single-minded opposition to the consumption of any animal products despite their necessity in the human diet, and our militant public relations, hudreds, maybe thousands of people have risked their health and well-being and that of their children for a ridiculous, unfounded ideaology, and this tragic, tragic story has made us realize that. We're sorry. Have a grilled cheese sandwich."Simon H.Johansen wrote:By the way, what are the PETA going to say about THAT news story??

Not vitamin pills. Those are a massive fraud. But as long as we get the vitamins through our food we're fine.
Enricko, your friend is an idiot. if he's a biologist, ask him why herbivore guts arer over twice the length of carnivore guts, and what he thinks of the Expensive Tissue Hypothesis (Aiello) for the evolution of Homo erectus. Make him cook his food, for Bob's sake!

Also, do you knowhat I don't get? Those vegetarians that own't eat meat because they're equal with animals. They're usually those little kids that just got back from seeing some movie wiht a talking animal. If they find nothing wrong with one animal eating another, then why do they object from a human form eating one?

I remember about 10 years or so ago when going Veggi became all the rage among the mindless fashion trend idiots and my older sister folowed suit. She took all the vitimins and mineral tablets she was suposed to etc. The result she fainted 7 times in the 1st month and ended up in hospital suffering from all sorts of defencies. Unfortunately they couldn't cure her brain disease and she still remains a mindless idiot.
As an estemed member of this board once said "Vegtables are not food vegtables are what food eats".

Humans first evolved larger brains by having more meat in their diet.
As such, I like to point out to vegans that they are making themselves have inferior cognative powers compared to us omnivores.
Of course, since a lot of vegans are fundies as well, it doesn't always work...

The Expensive Tissue hypothesis is not about meat alone. It is abotu HIGHER QUALITY food, which includes the processing of otherwise inedible foodstuffs, such as tubers.
Regardless of what outr ancestors live, a senisble person can quite happily survive on a vegetarian diet by planning their meals and cooking them well.

I believe PETA once tried to say that the Christian doctrine promoted vegertarianism, but this verse seems to say the exact opposite. Also, they tried to say Jesus was a vegetarian, although he is depicted in the Bible eating fish. Shows what they'll do.Romans 14:2 : For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
But then again, who cares what the Bible says? Or the animal rights wackos?
