I'm noticing some odd behavior this morning. When the Quick Reply form at the bottom of a thread page renders, the browser jumps to the bottom of the page. Pressing "Home" on my keyboard returns to the form, not to the top of the page. Anyone else noticing this?

IE 7.0
Windows XP 2002 w/ SP2

Same problem here, really weirdly annoying.

I'm going to fourth this one, same setup as Ted C.

It rather defeats the purpose of my clicking the "go to first unread post" thing now, though at least I'll be on the right page.

Just to add another data point, I haven't been having the quick reply problem on my computer (Mac OS 10.4.11 and Firefox 2.0.0.17).

Opera, no problems here. Think it's an IE7 issue. Anyone with IE8 reporting?

Clicking on the banner (just above the slogan "Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid people") no longer brings you to the main Stardestroyer.net page, but back to the bbs top page in Darksoul. I don't know if this is a proper bug or not, but I find it most inconvenient.

ok, as I've discussed elsewhere, my Firewall and my webbrowser keep red-flaging New and Politics threads as being "Unsafe" it appears because someone is watching/trying to collect information on viewers of those threads. the most flagged threads are "Palin discussion", "Politically Incorrectness", "Has McCain already won", "Has McCain already Lost", and "Political Cartoons". Not sure what's going on.

Quick request: could the 'who's browsing this forum/thread' bit be moved to the top of the page below the thread/forum title? Also, could the 'target="_top"' issue get fixed? I hate having links on SDN open in the same goddamn window/tab/etc as the board!

The forum was down for approximately 75 minutes just now. I checked the logs and it appears to have been a UPS-initiated shutdown due to a power fault. Everything seems to be back to normal now.

Using the search feature and selecting to view results in topic/thread format, I can't access the next page of results because it tells me to wait a few minutes to 'make a new search'.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Not really a major problem but a bit weird: In some forums G&C, i'm not getting all the thread in seperate boxes, but rather two or three to a box. Its not affecting functionality it just... looks funky.

Okay, I can’t edit my signature. I keep trying to remove ‘SDN World Imperial Japanistan’ from it, but every time I try, or even try to delete my signature entirely I hit submit, it shows the changes as having occurred, but then when i return to the forum its back to the way it was.

That has happened to me many times, but my signature eventually changed. Give it a few minutes or even an hour.

OK, I just spent a considerable amount of time trying to fix the permissions for global moderators and senators, so hopefully some of the glitches we've been having since the upgrade will now be resolved. Senators should generally have fairly free permissions now, including the ability to ignore flood limits and post Flash.

As for Sea Skimmer's sig problem, I honestly have no idea at all what might be causing that. If it does not resolve itself by tomorrow, PM me with the details on the new sig you want, and I'll see if I can change it from the admin control panel.
