How do you like your steak cooked?

Post by Joe »

Me and my (wimp) friend had an argument over the superior way to have your steak cooked. He opted for well-done, I went for rare. How do you all like your steak cooked?

This may be spam, but after the Sushi thread, maybe not.

Medium. I like it pink, but not mooing.

Depends on the cut of steak.

Fillet: medium (It has to be warm all the way through.)

Sirloin, Ribeye: Medium Rare

Prime Rib: Medium Rare to Rare. I love a good, red, juicy prime.

Personally, I can't enjoy a steak if it's cooked anything more than say, medium. And you'd have to be insane to order a well-done steak under, IMO; the overcooking just destroys the unique, juicy taste that steak has and makes it taste just like any other beef. I just love taking that first bite out of a huge, bloody, rare as hell steak.

Medium Rare. I don't like it bleeding, but it's much better when it's flavorful.

It's true. I'm not alergic to it, either. I just don't like it very much.

I like my steaks medium rare. When I was a kid I didnt know anything else because that is the only thing my mother made. When I moved in with my dad, I learned how good medium rare was. Hmmm.

What an odd menagrie one doesn't like Steak...one not liking choclate.

Ah well guess my odd tastes of enjoying chocolate covered lemon drop won't seem too odd.

Either way, a nice bloody rare.
