I believe Miriam is out. She got into about 3 big fights in SLAM and personally I do not trust her ability to GM given her competency shown in those threads.

How are such things normally handled? I would have assumed that the creator was the default GM, but if they drop out, then what?

Oh he will definitely, especially when I start loaning him Greek Fire to set afire the forest by lobbing projectiles through trebuchets.

BTW, do you have any idea how much resources burning down hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of forest will take? Medieval Poland was almost 90% forested. That would be one huge mother of a siege

What siege? Greek fire doesn't just burn for hours on its own, you can't put it out with water. That's the beauty of it. All we need is some good wind and you'd set hundred of hectares and hectares on fire and let it propagate from that point.
Hmm.. Good wind...

Tree's a ludicrously hard to actually burn Fingolfin. Far harder in fact that a town. Simply putting Greek Fire on a spot will burn the hell outta that spot, but a tree is a huge thing made mostly of water and stuff that doesn't burn well. You have to generate megatons of energy to get a big fire up and going, which could mean weeks and weeks of lobbing greek fire, a good wind that blows consistently for several days, and it has to follow a drought. Despite how is seems, forest fires are probably harder to start then simply having siege engines bash the trees down.

Don't Worry, the Tsardom's immediate priority is not the conquest of your little band of druids, witches and bickering nobles, but rather expansion towards the Baltic in order to gain access to the ocean, which shall open up new areas to the Tsardom's markets and allow for the birth of the Tsar's Imperial Navy.
And come on, what is so wrong with Europe having to deal with the occasional attempt at conquest by the Forces of the Empire of the Rising Sun?

Markets? Like there's any inter-kingdom trade at this point
And, of course, a major power gunning for the Baltic is cause for rather large concern for us...for obvious reasons.

BTW, I'm not really going to be using the forests as a weapon ; Rather, the witches agreeing to help means convincing woodsmen tribes to form a coalition will be much easier.
Of course, hell knows what they really want. The witches have their own motivations

Good thing I have giant golems that are constantly on fire, in case my ally needs some help clearing land.
