Get to Wave 50. (GoW horde date)
Since we have many members into Horde MP on GoW 2, I thought it might be nice to actually set up a semi-solid time to meet and decimate...err....resolve the conflict with the locusts. We live in different parts of the world, so lets keep that in mind, too. In my universe, after 8:30ish (eastern) I'm pretty free-ish. I know STRAK doesn't usually show up until midnight or so, because that's like 2 PM or whatever in his universe. So, let's set up. We need 5 dudes.
Oh - and I will give you all a friendly hug.

You have NOT beat wave 50, you frickin' liar.

It's difficult, but not nearly as much with the right team. We rocked it out in about 8 or so hours. If you just want to whore the achievement, get 5 guys who know how to work as a team, set it on Casual (we did Normal, I think), and try a map like Statsis. It is insanely more difficult without any semblance of teamwork.
The hardest part we had was wave 10. The riders had so much health by the later waves, they could just laugh off much of what we threw at them. But, you can keep the boom shields from wave 9, then set them up on both sides of the stairs and just hang out up top of Stasis. They are generally too dumb to kick the shields down, and if they do, you should have a few nades planted waiting for them.
I love playing horde and we can always use another player if we can't pull 5 from our group of friends. My gamertag is "TheFeniX." But, right now my girlfriend and I are working through the campaign again (Her on Normal, me on Insane). So, I may not always be available.

I'm more interested in having fun that 'getting to level 50 rofflecopters' and then losing interest in horde. Fun trumps epeen, and there's no scope for Mexi-Canadian jokes in a post-horde world.
And frankly, just set the goddamn horde to easy and play on a defensive map.

Re: Get to Wave 50. (GoW horde date)
would anyone be up for a match on friday or saturday?
I'm up pretty much all night on those days, so I might be able to get coordinated with the aussie then.
I'm in the U.S. eastern time zone. How much of a difference is there with AU?

Indeed I did, on November 9th. With some good friends, it's not hard.Chardok wrote:The Vortex Empire wrote:What, you mean you haven't done that yet?

On casual of course. We tried it on Insane, and we got ripped apart.

Me and a friend of mine are going to be playing Gears later tonight. Anyone feel like joining in?
Re: Get to Wave 50. (GoW horde date)
My friends and I are on Level 47, Hardcore, playing on and off when we hang out. We really need to find a 5th player (and third X360) to make it to the end.
