Yeah well, for some reason it isn't showing up, at least not for me. Bah! This means I'll only be able to catch it this Saturday.Darth Ruinus wrote:It starts in 4 hours for me. Damn you time travellers. Damn you.

Pity we didn't get to see much of it. I am looking forward to a massive punchfest between Clark and Doomsday.Solauren wrote:Oh man, the Doomsday outfit/make up is PERFECT

I love the smile on Chloe's face at the end...
On no, Brainac lives!
And I wonder (sarcasm) who was in the funky chair. You know, the guy without any apparent body hair.....
I to look forward to the punch fest between Doomsday and Clark. Preferably Clark in the cape + tights. Backed up by Oliver's Justice League.

Re: Tonight's Smallville
How much did they depower Doomsday? If he is even 1/10 what he was when he first appeared in the comic I cannot see Smallville Clark lasting more than a few seconds.
I KILL YOU!!!
Re: Tonight's Smallville
He's the genetically engineered 'son' of Zod and some other Krpytonian.
Odds are, his power level is on the par with Clark, if not higher. Say Brainiac level.
I loved the look on Clark's face when Doomsday caught his punch and hurled him backwards. That was priceless.

Re: Tonight's Smallville
What's going on with Chloe's smile?
I do hope they're going to give her her memory back
Also, I haven't seen any indication of Doomsday having super speed. How'd he get to the Arctic?

Also, am I the only one who almost convulsed in pain when:
A ) They downloaded data off a router that NOT PLUGGED IN via WiFi in thirty seconds while Clark was carrying it around?
B ) "There were megagigs of Luthorcorp RAM and Ethernet cable in here"
Seriously some of the worst slaughter of technical terms I have ever seen on television.

Re: Tonight's Smallville
The router could have had a built in Back up power supply.
Also, as for the tech term, it's possible Oliver or Lana (which one was it that said that) isn't the sharpest knife in the draw when it come to technology.

So it had a built in back up power supply AND was broadcasting an unsecured network, with no administrative password to access the routing tables or any onboard data?Solauren wrote:The router could have had a built in Back up power supply.
Whoever's running that company's IT needs to be shot then. 0.o
Lana said it, and I would agree with that assessment, except they tried to make her sound serious. Also, as for the tech term, it's possible Oliver or Lana (which one was it that said that) isn't the sharpest knife in the draw when it come to technology.
Re: Tonight's Smallville
Found it word for word:
*wince*Lana: "We both know that 2 hours ago more than 430,000 megagigs of Luthercorp RAM and ethernet cables were running through this place."
Re: Tonight's Smallville
You did catch the part with Lana getting text messages asking 'Did the Archer believe it?'Praxis wrote:So it had a built in back up power supply AND was broadcasting an unsecured network, with no administrative password to access the routing tables or any onboard data?Solauren wrote:The router could have had a built in Back up power supply.

I'm sorry, someone is obviously laying a trap for Oliver. An unsecured or easy to hack router would seem to be a good way to do that. Oliver is good, but he's not one for the finer details with stuff like that when it comes to Lex. To much of a vendetta I suppose.

Writers are so fucking lazy. As if a 2 minute call to the IT department to be told the right terminology to use would be so hard.

Re: Tonight's Smallville
Smallville has never had a realistic depiction of technology. I just ignore the technobabble and enjoy the show. But honestly, comics are not sci-fi. Just look at Iron Man. Or the Hulk. From a sci-fi perspective, it makes absolutely no sense.
That's the difference between sci-fi and comics. In sci-fi, they try to make things sound at least somewhat plausible. In the comics, the writers expect total suspension of belief. I don't really mind it, though, because it's what I've come to expect.

Humans are such funny creatures. We are selfish about selflessness, yet we can love something so much that we can hate something.
Re: Tonight's Smallville
Finally saw it yesterday. Love the way they did Doomsday. From what I saw it looked almost like the comics version but smaller. The Lana gaffe made me wince but I let it go. Chloe\Brainiac thing I was not surprised and I am wondering if she's slowly turning into Brainiac or a remnant of the construct is taking over her mind. But the WTF!?! moment is that Davis\Doomsday brings her to the FoS and she smiles as if it was planned? This week's ep should be good.

Re: Tonight's Smallville
I don't. I really feel like this season is finally starting to come together. Last season, when Lois had Clark dress up as a reporter, I literally squealed like a little girl when he came around the corner with those glasses on. Seriously, the emo farm boy teenager has been dragged out and beaten to death, it was so finally AWESOME to see Clark becoming more like we know he is going to become (can't even imagine what my reaction is going to be if they ever put him in THE SUIT (TM)).Praxis wrote:I do hope they're going to give her her memory back
Chloe losing her memory of him being Kal-El helps facilitate this, and frankly given that there are no guarantees that this show is going to be picked up for Season 9 (and we know Tom Welling isn't contracted for 9th Season), they need to start wrapping this up in a way that if it ends this Season we can finish the show with a reasonable belief that Clark will one day be Superman. Which brings me to that very nice touch they put in the last episode; Clark making peace with Jor-El and actually referring to him as 'father'. Now that was just pure class.
That's something that I never really considered to be honest (the Chloe turning into Brainiac angle), I just assumed that when Doomsday put her in the corrupted Fortress, Brainiac just did a quick wipe of her memory (similar to what he was doing to her in the previous episode) and just leaving nothing in her except for her attachment to Davis (for whatever purpose that's meant to serve).Enigma wrote:But the WTF!?! moment is that Davis\Doomsday brings her to the FoS and she smiles as if it was planned?
