Well, they do, but in the case of the Dominion that's more of a design feature than a design flaw.

The only ships which showed the horrible instability of the Warp Core was the first production Galaxy-class ships - so pretty much all of the ships we have should be alright in their engine department.

I still slip my ship towards the Planetary poles or around a moon or something, away from the bulk of the people incase something DOES occur, and when it looks clear, offer my loyalty to the prevailing faction (most likely to be the MESS and Mods).

Otherwise, I carry on as before. I provide what help I can with my ship, and remain a primary lurker in the fleet....

I would probably head for Klingon space and trade for a Kvort Bird of Prey. they're nice loking ships with a cloak. Either that or look for a trade on a Miranda class. Then just wait for the shooting to die down and offer my services to whoever is left. I could totally go for the courier job
