Any of you play this?

Do any of you play EV Nova?
It's for Macs, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot of people playing it, but I feel the need to rant about this game.

Now Entering review and rant mode. Please wait.........

Simply put, EV Nova is the best space game ever.
The maker of the game is called Ambrosia, a shareware company.
The game itself has you flying a small shuttle at the beginning, but later on, you can either capture or buy huge wank-fest ships such as the Polaris Raven and Auroran Carrier. You fly around in 2-D, but don't let this fact dissuade you from playing this game. The graphics are rather nice, but the real treat is the gameplay. You fly around in your ship, as I mentioned before, in 2-D space. You can land on planets and recieve missions there, start trade routes, fight off a pirate fleet for money, steal technology from opposing factions, and thousands of other kinds of missions. The universe is simply huge, with over 1000 systems with their own unique planets and inhabitants. The plot can twist a billion different ways, so it is infintely replayable. You can customize your ship with a hundred weapons and cool outfits, such as polaron beam weapons and repair droids. Every nook and cranny of the universe is intriguing.
And it's free for the first 30 days.
:D If any of you own a Mac and are into games, this is a must have.
And, good news for Windows users, they are coming out with a Windows versions very soon.

Now leaving rant and review mode....

So, guys, what do you think?
You have to play the game itself to see how addictive it can be.

I played an earlier Ambrosia release, the 'vanilla' Escape Velocity, and the Star Wars variant thereof.

All I will say is that it very nearly altered my computer purchase. Its really that enjoyable.
