Talk about not having time...I'm flying to Belgrade come Saturday. Simulator training, fuck yeah.
Sadly, this means that I'll spend even less time on the game(both of them) and SD.net entirely.

At this time in the office, I barely have time to type out a short two-sentence post between calls from customers, much less an elaborate story post in the game thread
Typing out this post took me twenty minutes, BTW.

Speaking of which...Stas needs to write that Karic Plotline he started. I was intrigued.
Maybe we should unleash Shroomzilla or something, to liven things up.

I just want to know what happened with fostering rebellion and unease on the Caymans. That could totally have been an interesting storyline but I haven't wanted to push more actions on my part without giving others a chance to assemble the opposition.

Though the list for the treaty disagrees with you.

Oh, I signed the Holy Hell out of it. But just as Congress needs to ratify stuff to make it law in the States, so too does the House of Burgesses does in the Old Dominion.

Re: SD.Net World Redux Comment Thread IV
So who of the Old Continent wants a STAR destroyer to come by and visit sometime within the next six game months?
Yes, I'll totally have the Imperator be one of the ones to pull up dockside. I'll even make an excuse to have President Shinra fly out to it for a series of OC visits, just so your leader personas can be at the pier when a STAR destroyer cruises in.
As a note, I was actually going to have the Allegiance go with BG-1 to the Old Continent while the Imperator meandered around the "Pacific" with BG-3, but then I decided it'd be more amusing to have my ImpSTAR show up in OC nations instead.
Given my deployment structure, BG-1 will basically be able to go anywhere from the Duchy of Langley west to my nation, essentially. Sorry FTO, but you're located in WESTCOM so they can't go see you. You can ask about having the Allegiance stop by, though, if you want. Though that of course depends on whether something sufficiently bad happens in Velaria or the Caymans.
Although at least for the Caymans (which is technically within NORTHCOM's AO) I could easily use land-based air power, whether from my own nation or based in Wilkonia if I need to. So I probably wouldn't need to pull an entire Battlegroup back. Though I may detach my PHIBRON since that could come in handy (although likely Wilkonian Marines and paratroopers from me and them could secure a beach-head if so required, with follow on forces being conveniently close by).

The Legislature has refused to ratify the treaty. "Off-Screen" I plan on having the Lord Fairfax use his powers as head of the Armed Forces to reduce the BWs down to the treaty levels as a matter of policy, though.

Which isn't going to stop a little bit of intra-MESS politics from spilling into the public theater as the failure to ratify is having repurcussions in my own internal politics The hawks in the Republican Party want to be pals with the OD no matter the cost, the Greens want the OD punished for failure to ratify, the Federalists want to avoid pissing off the Republicans who can and will attempt to force a no-confidence vote, the Whigs dont' give a rat's ass and Labour is still trying to figure out if its going to continue to caucus with the Federalists or not.Lonestar wrote:The Legislature has refused to ratify the treaty.
