Guys, in case this thread is getting out of hand. Please note, I do not ask you to believe or support torture. Instead, I created this thread with the intent of finding out and sharing with everyone several arguments about torture, both pro and con.

Please don't get personal over this issue. A guy who is against torture can still come out with arguments that the opposite side would use in a real debate.
Humans are such funny creatures. We are selfish about selflessness, yet we can love something so much that we can hate something.

I don't see this thread "getting out of hand". It's one of the calmer discussions around here and so far wholly logical.
Lì ci sono chiese, macerie, moschee e questure, lì frontiere, prezzi inaccessibile e freddure
Lì paludi, minacce, cecchini coi fucili, documenti, file notturne e clandestini
Qui incontri, lotte, passi sincronizzati, colori, capannelli non autorizzati,
Uccelli migratori, reti, informazioni, piazze di Tutti i like pazze di passioni...

...La tranquillità è importante ma la libertà è tutto!

Just remember one thing, before anyone start calling anyone else a sociopath , I would like to point out one thing.

I remember there are several research in regards to humans injecting pain towards others. The electric shock experiment if anyone else can remember. When a person is told to give pain to others when he answered a question incorrectly, a person will proceed on without any reservation after a while, simply because he is told to do so.

Which means, just because you torture someone doesn't mean you are a sociopath or enjoy giving people pain. In essence, you simply become a machine that listen to orders without thinking twice.

I'll try and find a link to that experiment ASAP.
