And unlike in most cases, The People win this ;)

The race has begun.

The way I see it, you guys can write up a little something on how your team is doing(if you want) and then tomorrow, I'll do a finishing post and declare the winner. And no I won't be the winner. :D

Anyway, I still need a list of all those participating. My search-fu has failed me.

Also: Drug Wars.

Bah! Byzantine Anti-Shroomites!

Incidentally, Shroomania has awesome healthcare - since I'm a nuerse. I think Big Pharma sells stuff in Shroomania that aren't really important drugs, but shit they try to brainwash people into thinking that they need em. Stuff like steroids and products that make skin fairer, viagras and orgazmos, happy pills, and all other kinds of crap. Actual medicine would be fairly cheap.

Thanks to MOM! :)

Unless PeZookians and Byzantines start pumping out generic happy pills and OrGazmos, I think my Fungal Pharmaceuticals and stuff will be a-okay.

And I don't think generic drugs usually include stuff like anti-fungal creams (for sexually-transmitted fungal infections!). :P

Erm, why would actual medicine be cheap? If big pharma can brainwash people into buying Super Duper Skin Texture Enhancer (diet supplement, totally works!), it stands to reason they can inflate prices of antibiotics and lobby doctors to prescribe them :)

Besides, GlaxoShroomKline doesn't even need to be Shroomanian in an age of globalization...

Yeah, but the name doesn't have to mean anything. For all we know, GSK could've been bought, sold, fused, split apart and sold again a hundred times :)

Well, looking into the STGOD Nation list might be a place to start. We will probably pick you a place somewhere in the world for you to flourish, or be someone's bitch if you so like...

I, too, have capitalized on the mess in the MESS, and used the pharmaceutical treaties as fodder to add trouble as well!

See my post. Make meds cheaper; counter by pushing panic to buy more and make up losses in volume.

They'll also connive together to make their proprietary tech more expensive as well.

EDIT: Don't forget-- a lack of international regulation. Chinese baby milk scandals, nyone?

Oh yeah! I can't believe I didn't think of insane price gouging, which PolPharma will counter by industrial espionage, which is then exposed by well-paid paparazzi journalists, retaliated against in turn by state-run TV reporters doing stories on corrupt big pharma CEOs, only to get smeared in turn via ad campaigns countered by suits in civil court!

It's going to be glorious! :D

Heh...

How do you start a branded generic drug line? :D

It would still compete with a brand, only it would be an umbrella one (So we'd get "GSK Pennicilin" rather than "Peniscin! AWESOME!")

But, hell. If it forces drug companies to compete with their own cheap lines of generic drugs, then the objective is accomplished :P

I'm kinda surprised Stas isn't throwing a fit at the name of the MESS exercise(which, of course, is just another shade of Red...) :)
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
