Been wondering if anyone else on these boards plays this game. I've been playing it for a year now, and it's incredibly fun IMO.
Basically, you take control of a starship ranging from tiny scouts to huge stations, choose either to fight for the United Galatic Trade Organization (kinda like the GE, but not as nasty
), the Interstellar Culture Confederation (typical rebels out to bring down the corrupt UGTO) or the K'Luth (ugly-ass bastard aliens with cloaking tech, powerful weapons, and *gasp* organic technology!!! 
) then duke it out in the Metaverse or on scenerio servers (luckly, they have a seperate Newbie server, so the n00bs don't get slaughtered by Dreadnaughts and Cruisers 
)Everything from buiding planets to bombing planets, to mining for resources or just straight-out fleet actions. Every ship is designed to support the other, and the fleet with the superior planning and execution usually wins the day (or if you just have more big guns then they do
