This wasn't too bad. It's nice to see something going right for Gaeta. :)

How was that rumor even started? I saw no evidence that suggests Gaeta is a homosexual.

First time I had heard anything was from AICN. I take everything that site puts out with a shaker of salt, but they turned out to be correct in this case.

Just thinking about all the lame references to "Gayta" that will flood the interwebs is already giving me nausea.

Gaeta isn't even the interesting part of that. I'm more interested in the fact that the other Cylons have caught up to them and therefore have Earth.

I think that point was completely lost in the 'zomgGaysexor'. That, coupled with the totally normal reaction to a pair of Eights on the Galactica's flight deck, was what I thought was interesting.

Also, was it me or was Galactica's bridge much better lit than normal?

That wasn't CIC. It was the briefing room/war room first seen in S1 "The Hand of God."

They weren't "At" earth when hey jumped, it wasn't on screen, they were next to a purple nebula. Maybe they left or moved elsewhere to throw off any possible pursuit.

Also there would be two groups of Cylons, friendly's and then the Other Guys. (The POS base star was seen with the fleet) The noramlized reaction WAS a little wierd though,. it started "9" days after arrival and counted back three days so what, a week, plus travel time, which is hard to guess from the montage means the fleet got used to cylons in under a month to the point where they are going to the R&R ship.

I was trying to figure out what was up with the rusty pliers, the needle in the neck seems like it woul be whatever Gaeta's friend gave him, probably pain meds or drugs or soemthing, but the pliers were slicing a hand open?

Really? I thought he was even in the miniseries.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

In S2 "Flight of the Phoenix," they showed that skinjobs can be hooked up to hardware. I'm guessing that they hook one of the Sharons to the Raptor's nav computer. At ~ :41, the one in a black (Cylon?) flight suit can be seen reaching into an open panel underneath the rear station of the Raptor.

I thought it was even MORE interesting that Tigh is still in a position of authority. The Eights are presumably considered officers of a nation that is currently in an alliance with the Twelve Colonies. Tigh has no authority unless Lee Adama grants it to him.

That was my first thought, but I couldn't think of a good reason for them to have to do that. I guess we'll have to see next week.

Tigh commanded the galactica, led the resistance and evenvoluntarily admitted he was a cylon, I am pretty sure he is held in a relatively good light by those who served with him, except for Adama who would see it as a betrayal and suspect Tigh knew all the time they knew eachother.

How in the hell is mis-jumping and ending up in the middle of nowhere something going "right" for him?

I did forget about that bit, as my mind was caught up with wondering what it was that Hoshi handed to him as well as what was to happen on this other ship.

Can nobody in the fleet get a break? It's like a flying ghetto.

I liked watching the damaged Basestar jumping with the fleet like they're all one big happy family now. :)

Nope! if someone was actually happy for once, they might lose some of that gritty grimdarkiness....

Yep, they explain why in part 2, which just came out today.

part 3...One dead Eight. My first suspicion is Brooks ("Oh great, skinjobs") and it was his toolbox, but that would be too obvious. I wouldn't put it past a pissed-off colonial to want to knock off the two toasters so that there's less people to consume the oxygen.

And the other Eight helped Gaeta on New Caprica...nice flashback.

That was kind of a lame "...murder?" set up. The insulation on a pair of pliers wears off. That's not suspicious and I doubt anyone is making new ones. No one even had time to scrape it off anyway. Nasty accident, but a retarded "murder" set up.

In a cutscene from episode 2, Hoshi said they had been gone for two days (~1:57). Before that in the raptor, I think they also said something about trying to get sleep (to consume less oxygen) so if that's the case, there's a 2 day gap where someone could have done sabotaged the pliers while the others were sleeping.

Why bother? Besides, anyone sabatoging the pliers would have no idea that an Eight would volunteer to use them or that they'd be needed.
