Maybe it's just me, but when watching the TV show I just assumed everything was happening in the same solar system? It made sense that there were "Border moons", and inner worlds that way. (IE, rocky earth like planets closer in to the star, with gas giants with dozens of moons further out.) Plus it made the distances more reasonable to travel without FTL, and made the show a bit more "believable" to me.

I was actually kind of bummed out when I re watched to movie after seeing the show, and catched the part saying that the colonies were spread across various systems. Kind of broke the awesomeness of the TV show for me. That, along with "revisions" to the story (Simon busting river out of a super-top-secret-high-tech-military medical research facility...alone?! I always imagined it to be some crazy hit and run raid, or complicated op by resistance fighters.). TV show is still awesome, but the movie was a wank fest.

What? The movie says precisely the opposite. It says they are all in one big system: "dozens of planets, hundreds of moons." The only problem is that this does not make astronomical sense.

This is the guy they want to use to win over "young people?" Are they completely daft? I'd rather vote for a pile of shit than a Jesus freak social regressive.
Here's hoping that his political career goes down in flames and, hopefully, a hilarious gay sex scandal.

This is the same POW-TWANG show that attempts to be edgy, authentic and downright GONG-ZHE with it's 'smooth and seamless' integration of english and something which sounds more like a bad neurological disorder than chinese. TSING-ZHAO! and other flavorful exclaimations aren't lame at all, nope.

Now I'm going to go enjoy an ice cold ZHANG FEI.

hahaha i bet Joss Whedon was just upset that he missed the "zomg Japan will be a super-juggernaut in the future!!1" bandwagon of the 80s so he was like "uhhh... we'll do CHINESE instead, hell yeah!"
