A 'Vajra vs. Xenomorph' match up would be hopelessly lopsided. The yellow ones basically have machine guns, guided missiles and a heavy duty energy cannon. The big reds would be even worse.

"Fire elementals" from Lord of Light could I'm sure; they are living patterns of electromagnetic force, described as looking like standing lightning bolts. It seems unlikely that acid, teeth and claws would bother something like that.

Mainland Grendels would be much better for xenomorph stomping, but they might be too smart to qualify for this versus. They have language, are social, some varieties build damns, use speed sparingly unless coolant is available, and are capable of overriding their instincts.

The island grendels were MUCH faster though, and still pretty intelligent for animals, especially considering that they basically lived in an ecological vacuum until the humans showed up.

Mainland grendels can travel at cheetah speeds while on speed. Island grendels are described as scaling a vertical cliff on inertia alone and even skimming above the surface of water for a short distance.

Grendels also have ridiculously good vision, capable of seeing under and above water and even magnifying distant objects. Plus an excellent sense of smell.

An individual grendel would probably fuck up quite a number of xenomorphs before dying, based on their sheer speed, ferocity, and the ability to continue killing shit despite missing limbs and mortal wounds. But, the point remains: xenomorphs have seriously nasty acid for blood, and it's going to fuck up a grendel, especially if it rips a chunk out of one with its teeth and swallows.

The Island Grendels weren't faster necessarily faster, they were merely less conservative with Speed. Considering that they were

1) Dumber,

2) From an aquatic environment,

That's not surprising. They're probably faster than some mainlander subspecies, but the mainlanders are smarter and have language. They're also used to dealing with creatures dangerous to them from bug swarms to mega herbivores to other grendels where the Islanders life cycle consisted of mama eating the young until the humans showed up and then them getting killed off.

Oh, come on. Fully grown Vajra are the size of small houses. A fight between them would be little more than the Vajra standing on the Xeno and then saying "Ouch, my foot."

It would probably more akin to a group of Vajra flying by at faster than the speed of sound and bombarding Xenomorphs with missiles. It would actually be a more fair to pit Xenomorphs against squadrons of modern jet fighters.
