Gamedamage
The pilot episode of this is out on the net, with youtube.
http://gamedamage.net/
Aside three guys talking about video games (one of them is Yathzee), there are some funny scenes.

Re: Gamedamage
it wasnt bad, but there was a lot of useless fluff and it felt like it was stretching for time. itd be better about 10 minutes shorter. i quite liked the adventure game and the DNF skits.
Drooling Iguana: No, John. You are the liberals.
Phantasee: So extortion is cooler and it promotes job creation!
Ford Prefect: Maybe there can be a twist ending where Vlad shows up for the one on one duel, only to discover that Sun Tzu ignored it and burnt all his crops.

Are you saying the industry is saturated with uninspired crap? IMPOSSIBLE.

Hey, this might end up the first TV show to actually say that out loud.Stark wrote:Are you saying the industry is saturated with uninspired crap? IMPOSSIBLE.

Not everyone has the staggering levels of cynicism and high standards as you have Star.

Was anyone else creep-ed out by the way Yahtzee kept staring at the camera, or was that just me?

Re: Gamedamage
Yes, me too.
It was pretty clear they didn't have enough cameras for the format - in theory there should have been a camera on each speaker and the editor could flick between them as they spoke, but because they seemed to have one camera on Yahtzee and one on the other two, often someone would be speaking but only half on camera.

Re: Gamedamage
Oh joy. Jokes about DNF taking a long time to come out. Those totally haven't gotten old.
"Stop! No one can survive these deadly rays!"
"These deadly rays will be your death!"

"Before man reaches the moon your mail will be delivered within hours from New York to California, to England, to India or to Australia by guided missiles.... We stand on the threshold of rocket mail."

It could still totally come out before the end of the year and thus destroy the earth.

Hey, remember that Mayan Calendar that ends in 2012? Maybe it's actually the development diary for DNF.

Seriously, the DNF jokes have become VERY OLD. Stop using them, please.

Re: Gamedamage
Awww, but they say "Strippers!"
Now, seriously, not a bad show, but it's obvious that it is a pilot, I don't feel the guys are fully in the swing of things. And Yatzhee IS creepy.

Heh, Yatzhee doesn't work as a human being. I would blame the fact that he's only slightly less animated than his Zero Punctuation reviews.
On the topic of the show, yeah... bad skits... the reviewing was about what I'd expect from people who would pair up with Yatzhee... (since I've never heard of EITHER of the other two. They also need better handles...)
Still, I suppose with some writers, funding, and extra actors, the skits wouldn't be so terrible...

Rule one of Existance: Never, under any circumstances, underestimate stupidity. As it will still find ways to surprise you.

Maybe DNF could save the economy?
