Well a complete uninstall and then new install onto a different hard drive does NOT resolve the issue. I really think that Live is the culprit here.

Did you install the newest Live update? There's been one since the one that was released with FO3. According to the RGSC bulletin it's required, but I installed it before first starting the game so I don't know what effect not installing it would've had.

For the third time, YES.

Well the driving controls are surprisingly easy to get used to. The free camera movement works fairly well. Flying on the other hand absolutely sucks. I'd love to use a joystick, but that is currently not an option.

Flying is a problem in pretty much ANY PC game with helicopters.

And you really can't set it to use a joystick when in an aircraft? Talk about fucked-up control configuration.

I could, but there is some control conflict that exists between joystick and the game which also affects foot movement.

Supposedly, reinstalling the joystick drivers fixes that. I say supposedly because I haven't tried it myself, as my Wingman wasn't connected at the time I installed the patch (and still isn't, for that matter).

Also, I gave up on trying to use the mouse when flying the helicopters, I use the number pad now. I also discovered that the left and right mouse buttons operate the send and end buttons on your phone when it's out, and the wheel scrolls through the items on the screen. Thus, I've bound the middle button to take the phone out and now I don't have to take my hand off the mouse whenever Roman wants me to hang out with him because he's a fatty serf with no other friends off of which to mooch rides.
