Diablo II, Advanced order, with the AD&D rulebook, DVD extras, etc.

Star Fox I can understand - it had the Super FX chip, so you're paying $50 for the game and $20 for the hardware built into the cart. The others though? Damn. Did you live in the middle of Bumfuck, Nowhere? Or were SNES games just that overpriced?Guardsman Bass wrote:I'm pretty sure both Super Mario World and Star Fox cost north of US$70 when my mom got them for us (we were little). But most expensive single game? Donkey Kong Country. If I recall correctly, it was something like $80-85 for that game alone.

I think around £45 for Wing Commander 3.

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Steel Battalion for $150. Rock Band probably cost more but it was a Christmas present last year so it doesn't count.

I routinely leave a A$110 security deposit at the game rental shop too. Sometimes I don't take them back and I forfeit this security deposit, much to my chagrin.GuppyShark wrote:I've routinely paid >A$110 for new release PC titles.

Re: What's the most expensive game you ever had?
I recently paid €149,99 but now I can play Lord of the Rings Online for live. (It also was a bargain, got it cheaper because I pre-ordered the expansion, normal price for LTA is €249,99)
As a kid I only had a Gameboy, and I remember that Mystic Quest was pretty pricey, I think around 100,- DM back then. On PC, I absolutely "needed" the uncut version of Half-Life (the German version had robots for marines and similar bullshit), so I paid a lot of money for an UK version on eBay, but I really can't remember how much exactly.

Re: What's the most expensive game you ever had?
the japanese pack with
this and this
Not so much the price of the stuff itself but more on Custom Tax for import
I'm pretty sure that's the most expensive game i ever purchased (with some vintage PC-FX games and Collectible edition of Idolm@ster)
i refrained myself from buying the Limited edition of the Otomedius G arcade Stick very recently.
