Well, I'm dead-ended on Haren's stuff as I can't get the dialogue tree to get the stolen parcel off Jethro, even after loading the dude up on fisstech. The investigation is going OK however - the captain of the city guards has an appointment with the pointy end of my dagger however...

Yeah, once Coleman gets killed, the quests Hot Potato and The Rat fail automatically and you don't get those dialogue options anymore. The goods I was referring to are the ones where you either sell to the elves in Strangers of the Night or kill them, not the parcel.

And as far as Vincent goes, he annoys you, I take it? His offensiveness depends a lot on just how far you push him.

Having started playing Witcher after reading Sapkowski's excellent The Last Wish short story collection I, too, was mightily surprised by its consequence system. Such a shame I didn't play this gem earlier. After starting my game I haven't touched Fallout 3 ever since. I'm right now fighting the stone golemn in the swamp at the end of chapter two.

If you haven't read The Last Wish, but enjoyed the game, I recommend it heartily. I don't usually enjoy fantasy much, but the mature, yet not-too-serious style worked for me. CD Projekt didn't take the easiest possible route when making the game; their adaptation of Sapkowski's original work is very loyal to the universe and characters. Blood of Elves, the first novel, was just translated in English earlier this year.

Okay so I patched up my copy to the Enhanced Edition a few days ago (slow I know, I hadn't remembered to go look until I saw a copy in the store the other day).

1.) I take it they went back and did some optimizing? Because it seems to run a lot smoother now.

2.) I never got very far originally, the game was unreasonably jittery before and I got distracted by other games. since it had been so long i just started over (and turned off the retarded censorship on an M-rated game).. that's a damn nice hook for a first chapter.

3.) Did anyone else who nailed Abigail get a big WTF face upon seeing her card? Seriously lady what the hell?

4.) Fighting man-eating monster plants while drunk off my ass, weeeee!

5.) Given the general attitudes of people around here how the hell does Shani not draw more comment with that outfit?

6.) Geralt seems to be trying to outdo James Bond in the nookie department.. at the rate he's going it's a damn good thing he's immune to disease.

7.) Mikul you are a cunt. Seriously, just go die in a fire already.
