If the moon survives, there's a flag and a vehicle or two on there.

Yeah, 100 million years from now, all that will be left of our civilization will be fossils, and their scientists will be debating the cause of the mass extinction that wiped us out.

That's why I think one of the main focuses of civilization pre-impact should be the creation of an archive/repository at the south pole of the moon. There's places there that are perpetually in sunlight, and solar cells could last quite a while. A big warehouse, with easy-to-follow instructions for an alien species to decipher our language and learn about us. And maybe a few deathtraps, but perhaps I've seen too many movies.

We will make them "moderately death trappy". A giant blow up boulder that has the Indiana Jones theme music play in the backround.
Also, only 100 million years? Didn't it take 600 million to go from one cell to now?

Yes, it will. The previous post was talking about billions of years from now, and I was saying 'Well, after just 1/10th of that...'

And actually, single cell life is over a billion years old, maybe even 2 billion. I don't remember. You may be thinking of when the first multicellular life appeared, which was 600 million years ago.
