Yeah, but this is LAEM whiz-bang 2000s type of silly bullshit, with the "slick" presentation and the nanoes eating the Eiffel Tower. It'd be cooler if the GI Joe dudes and the Cobras killed each other with pew-pew guns, maybe with less pew-pew and more like thundercracking Terminator-style plasma guns, and the Cobras using A-10 Warthogs as their fighter planes.

And what the hell is up with Destro? Where is his iron head? Fucking...

Have there been any other renditions of power armor on screen, anyway? At least FROD will love this showing of armored muscle suits.

I think they are going to pull the same move they did in The Dark Knight with Destro in that the crome steel mug will come in latter on in the film.

Still, I don't like the sleek shiny clean look of this. Come on, the cartoons had the Joes composed of moustached sailor guys, and wrassler drill instructor Sergeant Slaughters, and stuff! They were colorful because they represented a shitload of services, from Rangers to Sailors to Marines to frickin' Ninjas!

I hate modernization.

Destro (referred to as JAmes McCullen XXIV, his real name) keeps the original mask his ancestor was imprisoned in on display in his HQ. He does get a mask of his own later.

The suits are referred to as Mark I Accelerator Armor; they're capable of running 40 mph and the acrobatics and durability shown in that spot.

Okay. I better hope they show properly awesome powerarmor muscle suit ass-kicking action, if that's the case. If they're not going for cheesy oldschool GI Joe and are going with SRS BSNSS, then they better make it a SPECKTACKLE!

Honestly, I thought that by making this all about an international counter terror team would some how make this a terrible film. I was really put off by G.I. Joe no longer being the real American hero. That being said, the new weapon and armor designs and potentially cool story have allowed me to get over my initial prejudice and I now want to see this! Hopefully it is more than a Transformers SFX fest!
