I'm hoping those "army of two" guys are the new rendition of Cobra vipers, though my first impressions, going on the assumption that the lead villain is Destro, leads me to believe these guys to be Iron grenadiers, or Destro's private army (whose name escapes me).

Honestly, I thought that by making this all about an international counter terror team would some how make this a terrible film. I was really put off by G.I. Joe no longer being the real American hero. That being said, the new weapon and armor designs and potentially cool story have allowed me to get over my initial prejudice and I now want to see this! Hopefully it is more than a Transformers SFX fest!

Don't worry. They still managed to get a British actor for the arch-villain in true American tradition. (after someone first pointed out that trend to me I've always found it hilarious for some reason)

But never enough shit to actually, you know, capture them and prevent them from doing the same thing next week.

Cobra, Doc Terror, VENOM, they always get away... Though if they have any one-off allies said nasties might get caught. Doc Terror particularly seemed to be a fan of those.

Don't be a retard. None, of what you listed is something for which one government department is going to be able to completely eliminate. It's like saying like the SAS is going to eliminate global terrorism by destroying the IRA. Oops, it's not.

You are also making it seem like if Cobra was defeated they would just be all like "Well, those Joes beat us fair and square fellas. Lets pack it in." Because you know, that if Osama Bin Laden was captured, Islamic Fundamentalist terrorism would cease.

AND you are assuming that these are simple problems that can even be eliminated. Terrorism, drugs, guns. Yeah if they were simple problems, they wouldn't require whole government departments, and in reality, multiple departments and organizations, devoted to counter them.
