However, that play was gone over by the VP of officiating on NFL Network and he deemed it the correct call.

I have a less than steller opinion of the Refs and their handlers this year. I mean really, Hood fell of Curtiss' legs. We got hosed man.

Go to 1:04 (tha catch from the back of the endzone, then the whole play) and don't fucking tell me that the Cardinals still don't have a chance with Fitzgerald and another play.

Never said they didn't, but you can't ignore the fact that they were far more limited in their options for the final play as oppposed to the two Fitzgerald touchdowns. NO middle of the field short of the end zone. The ball was going to have to be thrown so far that there would have been three or four Steelers there before the ball even made it to him.

If the play had been called as it should have, their chances go from 0% to 1-5%. They've got the best two possible players to do it with but its a massive longshot still.

Did you watch the video where I said. That was a hail mary pass and reception in the middle of 6 49ers, and the ball was thrown from the other side of the 50, which was basically the exact situation Arizona would have been in had they had another play.

Now I'm not saying that it would have happened, but for certain the chance was there and they have pulled it off in the past. Take into account that you can't put everyone in the secondary on Fitzgerald as you have Boldin and Breaston that need to be covered as well and you give the Cardinals a pretty decent chance to pull off the greatest ending in Superbowl history.

Watching that wanker come out and try to put the best face on one zebra attack after another gives me a good idea of what the Five O'clock Follies must have been like during Vietnam.

He usually does a good job of explaining why a call went the way it did, and he is also not shy about saying the wrong call was made. This instance though... I think he is going to side with the refs unless pressed VERY hard.

Why shouldn't we be run first though if Frank Gore is our best player on the offensive side of the ball, which is my opinion.

Until we get a QB who can actually throw the ball again, and a playmaking reciever to accompany him that is. Let's get McNabb and Boldin from Philly and Arizona respectively and accompany them with Gore and watch as we contend for a .500 record!

Raye was Norv Turner's OC with Oakland, but being Norv's OC is like being Harrison Ford's stuntman: he does most of his own stuff anyway, so you're really just a stand-in. Just ask Clarence Shelmon.

On the plus side, your team won't have to learn a whole new offense. And let's face it, they don't have a good enough line to air it out anyway -and won't unless they spend a bundle in picks and FA dollars.

As well, apparently some of the players are pushing for the Pro Bowl to remain in Hawaii, and the week after the Super Bowl (next year, it will be on "media day" in Miami the week before.) As far as I'm concerned, they can have it in Honolulu, but I think it should be the week before. The Pro Bowl is a weak way to end the season.

Ok so after watching the Pro Bowl, I am convinced of two things. Larry Fitzgerald is the best receiver in football, and if Warner could have gotten the throw off, or one last play, that the Cardinals would have won the Super Bowl.

On the free agent front:

Julius Peppers wants to go to a 3-4 defense. OH HOT DAMN!!

Boldin definitely wants out of Arizona. OH HOT DAMN!!

Terrell Owens finishing his career as a 49er?! OH HOT DAMN!!

Larry Johnson wants out of K.C.. Sproles/Johnson in San Diego in 09?

There is no way Cassell is going to sign a long term deal with New England. So he will be on the shopping block soon.

If Ray Lewis goes to the Jets, I think Farve will give it one more go.

I also think Warner is going to hang it up if they can't keep Boldin, and I don't think they can.
