Yeah, but then Fox used to produce smart trailers in the past for both shows. Just look at the first Dollhouse trailer or the early T:SCC trailers. Those were fun, accurate and - dare I say it - intelligent.

Not so much the "El Fuego" but the whole look and tone of the trailer is right out of the trailers for "Grindhouse". The one fake trailers in front of the movie did have a Mexican lead and some Spanish so its just keeping with the whole "Grindhouse" theme. A theme that should have died a cold hard death the moment it left the brainstorming session that produced it.

I enjoyed the Grindhouse double feature for what it was. Cheesy pulp 70s schlock. That in no way means I want to see it repeated on television. That visual style in no way represents either of those shows in a flattering light.
I was just saying that GRINDHOUSE style is awesome in an (intentionally) unintentionally hilarious way, and that I found the T:SCC/Dollhouse trailer very funny and entertaining - to the (un)pleasant surprise of Thanas and some other dudes.
I don't get why they are so upset over something so humorous.

I'm sorry, man. I'll make up for it by posting something insightful (for me).
Mmm... upon wiki-ing, this Dollhouse thing doesn't strike me as particularly captivating. Whereas Firefly the whole "emotionally dissociative chick being experimented on to kick all sorts of ass" is just ONE of the many plot threads going about, just like how perhaps in Buffy (which I don't watch), the whole "teenager conscripted to a war on whores vampires" is just one part of the show, this Dollhouse thing seems like it's totally hinged on the "emotionally dissociative chick being experimented on to kick all sorts of ass" thing. Like, the whole show looks like it's its just an avenue for Joss Whedon's favorite, um, fetish.
At least with his other shows, there are other dimensions. And even in T:SCC, Cameron is just another (crucial) facet of the show and while there are episodes with her being prominent, there are others with her barely being there, so the whole thing is definitely not centered around her. Even if she's got a *big* part.
That new trailer totally reeks of misleading advertisement. But, really, I appreciate it for its merits. I think its funny - and I think that other shows should have their trailers done in similar fashion too (imagine 24's trailer being done in a Ruthless 80s Action style, or Lost being made out into some sort of pulpy adventure) since it's creative and in good humor. I actually faved the video.
