I'd like to see the apologists for the Gaeta/Zarak line now. Their little moral crusade has totally left the rails.
It's Jodan, not Jordan. If you can't quote it right, I will mock you.

Well, shit!
How do the people who support the mutiny feel now that Zarek and Gaeta have had the Quorum slaughtered in cold blood for not falling into line?

Pesky Quorum, trying to tell the Vice-President what to do.
"The real trouble with this world of ours is not that it is an unreasonable world, nor even that it is a reasonable one.
The commonest kind of trouble is that it is nearly reasonable, but not quite.
Life is not an illogicality, yet it is a trap for logicians.
It looks just a little more mathematical and regular than it is; its' exactitude is obvious; but its' inexactitude is hidden; its' wildness lies in wait."

"Of course, what would really happen is that in Game 7, with the Red Sox winning 20-0 in the 9th inning, with two outs and two strikes on the last Cubs batter, a previously unseen meteor would strike the earth, instantly and forever wiping out all life on the planet, and forever denying the Red Sox a World Series victory..."

So, Gaeta is the Brutus to Zarek's Cassius here?

I think Zarek summed up all the argument from last week's episode pretty well:
"This is a coup. This is what happens."

Zarek is a murdering terrorist scumbag; it's what he does. Not surprised really, and Gaeta is still a fucking moron idealist

Good to see that in the end, Kelly did the right thing.

Lampkin was helping them both get to sickbay, after a change of heart.

I liked the beat with Geata and his leg at the end there.

Did anyone else notice the massive hull damage in engineering?
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
Re: nBSG ep 4.14 - "Blood on the Scales" talkback (SPOILERS)
Wow. That kicked ass.
I can't think of a single thing wrong with this episode. Not a one.
Poor Gaeta, it stopped itching at the worse (for him), ironic (karmicly), and funniest (for the viewers) time possible.
Gaeta might have had good intentions, but so is paved the roadway to hell.
And as for Zarek, they should have done that so the first episode he was in.

I've been asked why I still follow a few of the people I know on Facebook with 'interesting political habits and view points'.
It's so when they comment on or approve of something, I know what pages to block/what not to vote for.

Re: nBSG ep 4.14 - "Blood on the Scales" talkback (SPOILERS)
three questions.
who was baltar in bed with ? head Six ? or another six model ?
Did Baltar really speak with Gaeta at the end or was that just Gaeta day dreaming ?
what was with the huge gashes in engineering ?

It looks like some sort of stress fracture, and given it's in the same area as the primary FTL drive, that can't be good
I get the feeling the old girl really has just about had it this time

Re: nBSG ep 4.14 - "Blood on the Scales" talkback (SPOILERS)
To put it into perspective, USN vessels hit the yards after every deployment. And the past 4-5years have been way more stressful on the Galactica than a 6 month peacetime cruise. Not *exactly* the same, I know, but after the first episode the damage the Galactica took would have probably mandated yard time in peacetime.

Re: nBSG ep 4.14 - "Blood on the Scales" talkback (SPOILERS)
And, if I were to a guess, it's a clear signal that the old girl isn't going to make it through the series, in the end. Near the end or at the end, they're going to either have to shove her down Cavil's throat, or have her just up and die, possibly from a hit to that section. Either way, I'm guessing this is foreshadowing her demise.Lonestar wrote:Did anyone else notice the massive hull damage in engineering?
I thought it was pretty cool to finally see some of the bowls of the ship. Not exactly engineering proper, but we got to see a jump drive, and that was pretty nice.

To quote the Colonel, "It'd take 6 months in drydock just to hammer out the dents" Yeah, I would say she's way past a 20,000 Ly inspection, or whatever standard used
