Eocene-Oligocene extinction event

Post by Kitsune »

Did a bit of google searching for information on the event...The only article I have been able to find on the event is in a magazine which I don't have access to.

Does anyone have any good sources on what is known about the event?

How technical do you want to go? This Jstor search turned up a number of papers touching on various aspects of it when I searched for "Eocene", "Oligocene", and "Extinction" in the paper abstracts.

Wanted to add that I know someone who might have access.....Works in a University in the Geology Department. If you could suggest a few articles, I might be able to request them.

I realize that the papers might be quite technical...Problem that I think my choices are completely non-technical or highly technical probably little middle ground.

Here's a good one. The event is known as the "Grande Coupure" and you'll get more results if you search for that.
